Lambos are a personal preference for some. not everyone wants a 2 dr 300C

LSD has the best kit out there. PM Denis808. He did his kit with some friends in a 16hr all nighter. they look great too.

LSD is the only clear choice as being crash rated, heavy duty, and works as a standard door (30 degree opening) if you don't want to attract attention sometimes.

Buy from HHP (vendors section) for the best deal. Call them to get the price, it will be lower than advertised on their website.

I don't have 'em, but I've drooled over 'em for hours upon hours. I agree, LSD is the ONLY intelligent way to go. A few guys have done their own, I think Hawaiihemi did, no?

Contact this company.

LSD, VDI, and GT Factory aint got **** on them! No design compares to theirs NONE! It should take around 5 hours if you are really handy and know what you are doing.

i didnt see anything like the magic stick. Also, LSD actually crash tested a $60K Audi to crash test their kit. NO other kit out there has been crash tested.

And did I mention the kit costs $1299 for the 300 and is MADE in the U.S.A. Lets compare that to the $2000 LSD one. LSD is good, but not $2000 good. Save your friend some cash money and go with Decah.

Forget the imitators. Go with the originators without the cheap "hinges". The best product is the bidirectional pivot system. There aint nothing like it.

you can get LSD online for $1599. $300 more for a crash tested product sounds good to me. BUT, I will take a look into Decah and see what theyve got. I wont discount them before I investigate them some more. Thanx for the tip on a lambo company I didnt know about.

^^^Hey I see you dont have vertical doors in your mod list :) Please buy the Decah ones. I have the VDI ones just because they were the 1st company to make a bolt on kit for the Magnum way back when the Magnum was introduced. I had to be the first to have them so I bought VDI. Now tons of companies are making them. Decah was the originator of these style doors so they KNOW what they are talking about.

As far as crash tested goes, if you hit any car going 40 mph, there will be serious damage no matter what kit you have...

have you seen this kit in person? i would like to see a pic of the hinge

MagnumRT05
07-11-2007, 12:46 AM
Here is the only picture I can find as of now. And yes I have seen this kit in person at the SEMA and some, not many, people have the kit around here. And this is the peugeot kit but its a decent reference for now.

Just contact them for pictures if you are really interested because I am not sure how old that picture is, but it looks really old. Plus the 300 kit will most likely look different than that. I am not sure how the 300 kit looks, but the Magnum one was very very sturdy, the quality was perfect and it opened up soooo smooth.

I'm looking at the LSD kit, just waiting for someone to offer a deal. So far at SEMA I was told I could get it for around $1400 but who know what the price is now. The LSD kit is top choice in my mind, tested and I know it's strong enough.

Ummm, now I have to thank you for posting that pic. You solidified my case.

1) Those are cheap, thin, and flimsy hinges.

2) The doors go vertical, but do not angle outwards... look how impossible it looks to get in and out of that car!

Anyone who buys those needs their head examined.

Your right, there the best and everything else is second. I've had the LSD for over 2 years and they are still as good as the day I got them. As for the others I've seen them all and they don't compare in quality or performance.

And did I mention the kit costs $1299 for the 300 and is MADE in the U.S.A. Lets compare that to the $2000 LSD one. LSD is good, but not $2000 good.

(1) Dont talk until you have seen the kit in person because I know you have not.:owned:

(2) Those are old school pictures. Email Decah for the pictures for LX cars. Then talk to me about it.

LMAO. You got me, lowriderman, AND fatchance all saying the same thing. And after that you still think anyone is listening to you?

fatchance has seen it all. And seen many things no one else will see for a long, long time to come.

Well guys, my lambos are different. 90 degree lambos. Plenty of room to get in and out. Will post pics soon.

Anyway, the kit was nothing special but hot marks bodyship helped build support bars on the already supported hinge. May not be the best, but doesn't wobble.

I would NEVER do lambos again if I had the option IMO.. but then again I had a bad experience with the first shop.

So they open outwards and up instead of just up? Have any pics w/ different angles?

I can't badmouth them, but I will say that if a company isn't willing to crash test their doors, then they certainly don't deserve my money. I learned way too much about failure modes in school to be willing to trust a non-tested hinge. That's like buying a $500 set of 22" rims because they are made from unobtanium...

I have VDI kit and I think its rubbish. The doors wobble and flap when there opened and when there up. Don't waste your money.

This would be good if it didn't wobble so much.

I do like the look of the LSD kit, but out of interest has anyone here got the GT Factory kit?

I would be interested in their opinion on this kit because there is the potential to add solenoids to it for automation.
