I've got a new problem since my windows (farther down the thread list) got fixed it seems the bugs are heading lower  I've got a squealing brake problem that doesn't seem to want to go away. my 300c has about 35,000 kms (about 21,875 mi) on it and the squealers don't appear to be near the rotors and I've had this problem for at least 15,000 kms the dealer reapplied the anti-squeal compound but it only works for a day or so and it starts squealing again... this is driving me nuts any ideas anyone? HELP!!!!!!

It's common with the LX R/T's and C's. Mine too.
My solution was to order new Powerslot rotors and EBC Red Stuff pads! I'll let ya know if that fixes it :)

I hate that. I have the same damn problem and has been going on for about 5-8k miles.
Its so damn annoying coming to a stop.

Ye my dealer checked for me and said my brake pads had 50% life left on them and said my rotors were no good. If thats the case why couldnt they warranty it?
Im gonna try another dealer when I have the chance.

Did you try bedding the brakes? Other than that, I'm at a loss.

G'luck.

No Time? You just need a relatively empty straight road. 0-60-0-60-0-60-0-60........

You'll really tick off the driver behind you though! LOL
Hence the need for the relatively empty road. Should do the whole thing in about 60-90 seconds.

Warning: Driving like grandma will just unbed the brakes in time anyway, so you probably can't be helped.

BTW, chat in an hour??????Seriously - it's that simple. You need to get the brakes good and hot, and transfer pad material to the rotors under that high heat. You have to HAMMER on the brakes. I mean, make you want to throw up you're stopping so hard level of braking.

If you can get away with it, go even faster (takes a lot more energy to slow from 100). Repeat as quickly as possible, or the brakes just cool.

Do 5 0-100-0mph runs in a row. Tell me what happens....
