With no more submissions posted we are left with the final group. 0657 AWD submitted a total of 3 after his poll was complete, Moebius has 6 for you to look at, and I have 1. This poll is for you to select your favorite. If you like 2 of the designs, pick the one you like best, but please include a post stating which other decal you would like to see created. Thanks all!
So without further Hoo-Haw... here they are. AWD's are the first 3, Moebius's are the larger group of 6, and mine is the lowly one in last place, lol.

I picked Moebius's #3 as my favorite... I really like it, but I could easily have AWD's #8 on my car somewhere as well.

I'm with ya on Moebius #3 - definitely my clear cut favourite.

OK, I picked my #8, but I obviously have a bias as it's my design. My second choice is my #5. I like many of Moebius' designs too, but I really prefer something long and low for the back side glass of my Magnum. I know some people have stated a preference for a rear window decal, and if I had a Charger or 300 I think I'd agree, but the back of a Magnum is already cluttered, and I don't think adding more graphics would improve the look.
As the long, low look and the short, 3 letter look are both fairly close in the voting, perhaps we could look at having both made.

looks like i dropped the ball on coming up with a design of my own...
i voted for #3.. but, if the A could have the same amount of overlap to the L.. as the L does to the X.. it would look good.. moving the A even closer to the L..

Moebius #3 is the winner, there really hasn't been too much talk since the Calgary meet though.

I will print off a limited number of #3 in carbon fiber, the same material I used on my rims the other day (I was trying to create the illusion the blades were thinner):

Along with the CF, I'll do some in high quality black vinyl. Come Saturday at the meet and greet, first come first gets...

Hey Moebius those graphics on your rims look kinda cool, very different. Hopefully I'll get an in person look at them this weekend. Thanks for doing the work on the ALX Decals too!

It would appear that Moebius' #3 is the winner. Let him know if you want one, it sounds like they will go into production!
Moebius, depending on how big they are, I would love 2 in flat or matte black for my rear side windows. Let me know the cost.

Yes, I think depending on the size, 2 might be in order for me as well.
They're going to have to stand out a bit because of the tinted windows.

Hi Folks,
I trust everyone had a good time at the M&G, someone should post details!
Anyways, what size should I make them? When putting forth a suggestion, give me an approximate length (X dimension - in inches say), based on input I will then cut/mask a selection. My batch of carbon fiber (CF) film is not going to generate many as I have utilized most of it.
So far Chris indicated flat or gloss black, this is fine. However picking specific colors could get difficult as everyones idea of what would look good on their rides will vary.
I'm going to propose that we stick with flat or gloss black, or maybe CF. If we choose CF, it is pricey and single-sourced (the really authentic stuff like on my rims). Or, there is a less expensive CF vinyl film available here on Calgary that is, well, just "OK" by my standards.
I await input...

Would it be possible to offer it in 3 colors? Say a simple black, red or silver? Then if someone want to get some CF style ones they can arrange to get in on a buy with others who want that look and possibly get the good film.
I think those three colors will cover all colors offered on these cars.
I was thinking that the size I'd like is about 4"w x2"h (I think the lettering would actually need to be like 4"w x 1.5"h to look proportioned.) I know that sounds small, and I would go bigger... I need to see one though to tell if it's not big enough.

Yes I can, question is do folks want whatever chosen colors to closely match the existing OEM paint?
Agreed, 4" long is a good size. The perspective needs to stay the same as what you see on my original choices, hence the request for length only. I could change it I suppose and reduce the height versus length but it does not look right. I did happen to move the X to mate with the L, and am considering moving the X slightly more to the left for better balance.
As I am not really into "decals", I am considering enlarging it to cover the top of the windshield. In this scenario I would have to stretch the X dimension to achieve proper coverage. Then again I might do a negative image. This idea would indeed make it easy to spot ALX members :^)
So, who wants what color(s) and how many? And should the colors closely match the OEM paint? Finally is 4" long big/small enough to satisfy the majority?

I personally wouldn't go for a windshield cover,,, and I'm undecided about matching the DLR, it would be OK I guess, but I would only take 2, 1 spare and the other top dead center of the rear window, maybe top dead center of the windshield,,, heck, maybe both front and back. Dunno.
So,,, if most folks want Black background(?), that would work with my tinted windows,, I would be OK with that, and 4" is fine with me..

Hi David,
Your idea of top/center is a good one, even front and back. This was another question I had as to where precisely folks wish to actually place the decal. If we can agree on a location on all three LX platforms, it will make it that much easier to spot a fellow LX'er. Then again maybe this is not that important.
If the location is going to be the center/top front and/or back, then I will enlarge it/them to 10" x 3" to allow proper visibility...

10wide x 3high?, won't the letters be elongated, hard to make out?, dunno, I guess I would like to see one first.
if you could do a life size picture/scan of one 10x3, and maybe 4x3, 6x4, I think that would help the populace decide.
My 2cents.
Thanks for all your hard work by the way!

No, the perspective remains the same David.
For other folks, David and I just chatted by the phone; the conclusion is I will produce some decals of this size and place them on my car and take pics.
I believe the best location is the front and/or rear glass, just large enough to make out but not in-your-face.

Here are two pics showing the "ALX" cut to 10.0"in length and mounted on the front windshield. The second pic shows a 6.0" and a 4.0" mounted on the side/rear. White vinyl was employed for demonstration purposes;

The windshield version could be larger, especially if we elect to use a darker color. I am undecided on the smaller versions, I would most likely opt for the smaller of the two (more subtle). Let me know your comment please...

Mr. Moebius,,, now I don't know what color,,, my back window is tinted, side windows are tinted, the car itself is dark, unless it's in direct sunlight and you're standing in the right position.
I'm afraid black(flat or gloss) will disappear, Dark Lava Red will be the same as black,,, white is too glaring,,, I want it to be noticible, but not glaringly obvious.
Hell I don't know, any suggestions anyone?
Carbon Fiber letters?, that may not be too bad. Hmmmmmm.,, Yah, I think CF for me.
Thanks again for all the time you've spent on this.

Good question as to what color would compliment your Dark Lava Red; if you like, we can meet and you can look at the Avery color selection chart I have. I will see what I can generate out of the remaining (simulated) carbon fibre material I have...
I am updating post #32 with people's requests, please check I have it correct...
