ok went to dealer yesterday this is what they said i have a wheel sxt with rt wheels in between one of the spokes is a hole (rot) 1/4 di 1/8 deep car less than yr old .. i wash them all the time and wax plus in winter covered car on snowy days ... so i said i want new whell not going to have this cancer grow he says good luck that chrysler treats it like paint issues and they took pics and send for auth but he says they hardly ever replace .. so has anyone had this issue and what did you do to get done ?.. (sub note )i worked for chrysler dealers in 80's and familiar with procedure with reginal rep, letters etc just wondering how others made out i actually worked at this dealer 25 yrs ago and said i would make stink about if need be not a them but big brother they said they would help me that way just preping for the fight :itchy-scr:boxing:

They're clearcoated... are you saying the clearcoat is chipped off? You're probably on your own, was probably caused by a rock or something. Otherwise I don't understand the actual defect.

Do you have a pic? Mine are have the cancer (white rust?)around the center cap. Had one replaced but almost every rim I have (there's 8) has it to some degree. If these were powdercoated &/or clearcoated, they didn't do a good job. I run mine in the winter but I did my previous cars and their rims didn't look like this.

I was a sucker and BOUGHT the wheel warranty. But now I'm thinkin' it might have been smart. Got a scratch or two on a couple and some of the white 'cancer' that magnumlover was discussing.
I'm curious how this turns out for you!
