The $20 Mod List.

Thought it would be great to throw togather a list of mods that can be done for $20 and under. Just add one mod to the list that is $20 or under. I will throw out the first one:

-wire bundle mod (under the hood, cleans it up a bit)
-legwell/underseat underglow (2 sets of 3"led bars $5 a pair @ superlumination.com and a $5 switch)
-DRL turn on (free at my dealer, activate w/starscan)
-Foglights on w/highbeams turn on (free at my dealer, sone w/starscan, must set car as import)
-Paint under hood pieces (fuse box cover, strut tower covers, intake cover)

You definitely can't go wrong w/ any of the above mentioned mods. I really like that chrome strip across the front dash. Nice subtle touch.

Cheap mod-buying one of those cone filters at auto zone and replacing your airbox with it. makes your car sound like a monster.

Very nice suggestion of mods...I need more info on the Fan mod, Tstat mod, no Esp mod. I heard about them, but not sure what they are or where to get them, or what they do.

Hopefully this works - copied it from the thread I started at 3CF:

I really hated looking around at all the nice, clean & beautiful 300's we have in the DFWLX Club - and then looking at the plain Jane commuter front on mine. So, I decided to do something about it. I was at Autozone anyway getting touch up paint for a rock chip, and an idea hit mehttp://www.300cforums.com/forums/images/smilies/new/twak.gif . Why not make my own color matched bumper hole fillers? Granted, this is not some super-hot mod, but for a budget it makes a difference...

Granted, the color match is not 100% spot on, but thats because I think I used too much clearcoat - not bad for a first try though.

Good question, but air bag deploys higher up on the dash as shown in this pic.
