Just wanted to post up here on the topic of this weekend plans... Im hearing that there are a few members coming down from Edmonton for a little meet and great Friday night in Calgary (possibly at the track for the street legals) and then maybe a cruise out to Banff Saturday afternoon...???
Anyone interested? We should arrange a time and place... track would be good for Friday night...

I'm in for Friday as well, I work until 5, so it'll be easy to make it. I've been light duties and sore from these busted ribs for the past week and a half, so I'm looking forward to getting out. If you guys are leaving earlier in the day Saturday for the cruise to Banff, i could be in for that as well, I'll just get to the destination and continue on my way to BC!

AWD mentioned HOOTERS for the M&G on Friday. I'm not sure where it is, but i'll test the NAV and see if it find it. I'm the worst with Calgary for directions, wooo hooo testing the NAV. I've got a couple friends from Calgary that will most likely hook up with me on the highway and show me the way. Besides i want to see this guys 700hp 98 Camaro and i'm sure he'll be the one driving.

I should be able to get out of town aroun 5 Friday. I'll bring down the money with me then.

Well lets make it happen !!! Hooters at 8:30 - 9pm Friday night ! Well have to work out the other details later in the week. I don't know Calgary very well, so the meet location for Saturday i'll need some help. My only idea for that was to meet at a resturant on the TransCan near the edge of town.

I just got the call from the guy with the 700hp Camaro. Us Edmonton guys will most likely be greeted by a smoke show as we enter Calgary, he's gonna meet us on the side of the highway and guide us up to Hooters. I love a good smoke show.

For out of towners that might miss being led in by STS' Camaro buddy, here are the directions:
From the north, the QE 2 becomes Deerfoot. Continue south until the Glenmore exit, then take Glenmore west. The third exit is MacLeod Trail. Take MacLeod north (to the right). On your right you'll pass an Acura dealership, a Mohawk gas station, and a large cowboy boot with headers and mag wheels (no, I'm not kidding). Hooter's is about a block or two past the cowboy boot, also on the right.
From the south, take Deerfoot north until the Glenmore West exit. If you've never taken this exit before you might think that you've made a mistake, as it becomes a surface street and doesn't immediately connect to Glenmore. Don't worry, it's correct. At the second set of lights (right after the new Mercedes dealership) turn right. This road will loop you around the Automall and merges with Glenmore westbound. After that follow the "from the north" directions above.
I'll try to be there at about 8PM. I'd like a rough idea of how many will show, so I know what size of table to hold.
That big cowboy boot with the headers and mags was here in Edmonton a couple years back at the Western Boot Factory. I'm not sure if there is more than one but our's went missing, store went tits up. So anyhow the South Hooters awesome, buddy was asking which one. Thanks AWD, count me for 4 including the Camaro buddy.

I forgot to ask, How is the parking at Hooters? tight or not ? Magnacharged and I are sofar the only Edmonton guys cruisin down, I'm hoping we can make good time and meet up @ 8pm sharp. Our departure all depends on how fast the wife gets home, she has a heavier foot then I do sometimes so we should be in route at 5:30.

Lots a parking at the Hooters. It is a combination parking lot with other businesses that will be closed, leaving lots of space for us. Hopefully we get a large turnout.

Keep in mind, this is Friday night, and the Hooters shares a parking lot with the longest running night club in the city (the back alley)… anyone arriving much later than 9ish will probably have trouble finding a spot… maybe we just rope off a section of the lot??? ;)

That may be a plan Justin, we so far have around 6-10 cars and who knows how many unexpected. I find with some of these meetings, people won't say nothing and just show or sometimes the other way around. We could end up with 15-20 by the time everything is said and done. The directions to Hooters look easy to find, thats if my friends don't meet us on the side of the highway. Like I said we're going to try for 8pm sharp. By the way is there any hotels or motels around there or is that the area you don't park in or you'll lose your wheels or car by morning?

There are lots of hotels around the Hooters and most I dont think you'd have to worry about loosing your wheels at lol... This is Calgary not south compton you know ;)

Wow, I never even thought about it being Friday night and the Back Alley being open, however I don't think it'll be very busy until 9:30 or 10, so parking shouldn't be an issue, however I can't guarantee it.
As far as a hotel STS, there's one South on MacLeod that's a renovated Motel, so you can park your car outside your door. It used to be called the Flamingo but I don't know what name it's under now. I'll try to cruise by tonight and I'll PM you with the name.

I am been holding off on adding my name on the list. I had to wait and see on somethings that were developing. As it turns out I won't be able to make it. It is a shame I was looking forward to it!
Heading down to Houston for the weekend on a Prelim house scout.

Thanks AWD, heck i've never even parked my car in a parking lot yet. She's a 1 1/2 year old virgin with only 3200km's, sorry garage queen. Never seen gravel, parking lots , crap gas , rain and hasn't been left alone besides in the garage. I was choked today to hear my wheels were just shipped today, so the tail end of next week i'll see them MAYBE. Not sure if I would order parts again from the states. I've got enough connections in Edmonton and Calgary that I get cost prices.

Sorry but I have no good news on my end. I can't make it now, I have an employee that called this afternoon and can't work the weekend. If I was to come down, about all I could do is eat short chat and back on my way home. I have to run into Edmonton around 8am on Saturday to cover for the man down. I'm more pi$$ed off than the people expecting me. Sometimes I wish I didn't run my own companys. I was hoping to ditch the wife and fly down earlier tomorrow but that won't happen either, there's a weeks worth the work that has to get done tomorrow, damn month end. Everyone I know says that I'm the hardest to plan things with, i'm always on the run doing 10 things at once.

Don't worry, I've already spoken with STS and he's going to call me tomorrow with a heads-up so I'll know how many seats I need.
Getting a CPS Charger to show would be great. I'd love to check one out up close (without the obligatory ride in the back, of course!)

Looks like i'm heading out in 15mins. I should be there around 5, just have to stop in at the Harley shop in Red Deer on the way. Just going to burn a new CD change the clothes and I'm outta here. AWD I'll call you around 5ish.
I just called MagnaCharged and he will be following shortly behind me. So AWD count me in, MagnaCharged and I know one friend ( Sema friend )will show as well from Calgary. I've gotta get on this CD now, so well see you guys shortly.
