Thanks for setting this all up JonzMgnm, what a great idea. The guys over at Speedworld did a great job getting us on and off the dyno on a hot day. Im sure their backs will be killing them tomorrow.
I think we ended up with about 20 or so cars today. A few guys stopped by to watch and say hello. We'll get em on the dyno next time ;) Long distance awards go to Brilliantblackhemi, Hemi31 and RobAGD. They each drove about 6 hours to join us. Too cool if you ask me. BigDave, carfinish and Tony (Shippan Auto) made a nice little drive to hang with us as well.
A few guys came over after OBI this morning, that place was nuts. Erik and I drove over there with the kids in the back seat of my charger before the Dyno stuff started. Id love to show up early next time and look at all the crazy cars. As Erik put it, there was way too much money in one spot this morning.
No mechanical failures and a bunch of nice numbers were put down. Great day if you ask me.

Well, glad I went, but what a whooped puppy I am. I skipped on Maple Grove, mainly because I had to work Sat...well that was optional, but low turnout potential turned me away. Then Erik reminded me this dyno weekend was the same weekend (now we know why the low Maple Grove turnout), so I figured I ought to go and drag Sunday only RobAGD out too. :)

Rob, thanks a million. Can you explain what the hell all those lines stand for again. I know their are some people here looking at it like a foreign language.

Hey Rob....burn my Dyno sheets!.......lol.I am never going to dyno this thing again:doh:
yes you will and you know it ....why don't you tell everyone about how your car has so much power that it started burning rubber on the dyno

Can someone please explain what the Air/Fuel ratio lines mean on the Dyno sheet and where they should be. If they are not in a certain range, can it be adjusted (I don't think that they can). Does each individual car have different A/F readings? Are the SRT-8's all similar and would only differ with a B&G tune? My friends Viper had his A/F lines closer to that red perforated mid-point line at 13 on the Dyno sheet and mine were a bit lower at around 11. Also, on the zip file that RobAGD posted what should you click on at the top of the page,....the Uncorrected, SAE, DIN, etc...? Which one would be the adjusted reading?

Between 11-12 to 1 air-fuel is good for most motors. 12 to 1 (thats the red line)is considered ideal. Most cars start off lean around 15 to 1 and richen up as the rpms increase. Unfortunately we cannot adjust our a/f due to there is no tune available:doh:.
Rob can chime in for the other stuff.

This WinPEP software is pretty neat. Took me a few minutes to figure it out, but i got it :)
Robert, is the weather info correct in this data? I figured out how to change it to corrected etc... Just wanted to make sure that stuff was actual numbers from that day.
Thanks

Dan IF they have a working weather station for the data the corrected number should be right.
I have found some shops that just plug in numbers to generate nice high dynos to make the customers feel good so sometimes its "Let the buyer beware" when it comes to these things.
As to the AF, it depends on the car setups at to what woudl be best.
As an example a car thats got good parts in it ( forged bits ) will want to run a tad leaner than say 12:1 the leaner you can run the car without getting detnation typically the more power you will make.
For a power adder car you want to little extra fuel in there as it helps cool things down some and it also acts as a buffer against detnation, so they will run 12-12.5:1 to keep it just a tad fat. When they hit the button on the nitrous if its tuned well and safe it may drop to 11.5 ish.
As to the dash hawk data, I think I kept ALL the SRT's on the same scales 0-40 degrees, 6500 rpm, and 5 volts so that you can flip them rather quick and see where you stack up.
Everyone is seeing a lot of knock retard on these cars, Timing advance in the 10-12 range at worst and that is leaving a LOT of the table.
I talked a bit with Tony about taking a spark plug out and putting in pressure transducers to see whats actually going on in there. This is where the next bunch of work is going to need to be done.

I dont think Speedworld puts the weather data in. I know they arent fudging the numbers, the weather info that was in there drops the max numbers.

Great stuff!
The Barracuda obviously doesn't make the HP of the modern hemi, but the big block is good for some Torque. Here are the numbers:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v296/jamesg918/3_runs_062407.jpg
Best was the last run, when I pulled the top off the air cleaner... 194 HP, 255 torque.
The 750CFM carb was good for 24 HP over the stock Carter AVS 650CFM... now I need to open up the other end... get some headers and a nice exhaust.
Its always tough figuring out which car to spend the money on.
