I am not the one who came up with it...just trying to get a list together for others:

FROM HOME DEPOT:

Filter:
http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?recordId=4604&List=List&state_1=&storeZip=22192&langId=-1&store=&storeCity=Woodbridge&productId=100027474&jspStoreDir=hdus&errorViewName=StoreFinderView&city=&storeState=VA&marketID=43&catalogId=10053&zip=22192&storeId=10051&locStoreNum=4604&distance_2=50&distance_1=50

FROM LOWE'S:

Watts Brass Fittings

2 X A-813 Pipe Reducer 1/2" FIP X 1/4" FIP (Connects the fitting coming out of the filter to the 1/2" barb listed below)

2 X A-385 1/2" X 1/2" Hose Barb (This is for the hose to go on to)

2 small Hose Clamps

FROM LOCAL HARDWARE STORE:

2 X 1/4" 90* fittings (They go to the A-813 fitting to get it from the 1/4" fitting that goes into the filter to where the 1/2" can attach).

FROM ADVANCED AUTO PARTS:
1/2" Hose to go from the PVC to Filter then back to the intake

Anyone else do this?

Yup. See this thread.

http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?t=69236

Looks like we are using similar parts. Check out the end of that thread. I posted a link to a 1/4" MPT x 1/2" barb that eliminates the need to adapt up to the 1/2" size.

Mine is mounted on the intake with gravity doing the work. Seems fairly solid just sitting there. Presently using the 3/8" hose and barbs the others have used but the barbs noted above are on the way and will replace the 3/8" hose. $21 in parts today counting the two sizes of hose.

Well $35 was a over estimate counting on inflation and what not...I am going to remount mine closer but I need to keep it accessible but not under the Shaker.

Yeah I want to find a better mount but I also don't want a bunch of extra hoses. I'm driving 1300 miles between today and next Friday so I'll get a good idea quick as to how well it works.

You should be double that mileage, right? :D

Pardon my ignorance, but what's an oil catch can? How does it help?

It is placed in the hose between the pcv valve and the intake to catch the oil vapor from returning into the intake

... thus keeping a ton of gunk out of your intake. Its a problem all hemi motors seem to have and the more powerful they get the more it happens.

How do these hold up over time?
Tere was some concern of the plastic breaking down due to gas fumes and high temp

Its not the plastic that is an issue. Its the filter element inside the canister that gets yucky. Shrinks up. Or at least mine did. Presumably from the heat but who knows? Every few months you spend another 12 bucks and put in a new one. My first one lasted six months and then I pulled the whole motor, so I don't know what the record for durability is, but for 12 bucks its not the end of the world to change it at every oil change. Or twice a year?
