Hey guys, we were just wondering does anyone know what it takes to get the dual-zone upgraded climate contronls into lower model 300s that have just the regular climate controls? The actual unit itself looks to just slip right in, yet we are more than positive its a little more than that.
yes, you need the climate sensor and such installed in the car -- trying to find you the port I had about it a while back

My guess is that its pretty involved. The dual unit had 2 blowers, 2 sets of blend doors and sensors. The dash temp sensor also has the auto headlight sensor in it, so the headlight controls are in it too. It may also be written into the PCM.

:doh:It only has one blower motor. The difference in the box is the temp. blend door is split on ATC cars, and has two seperate actuators. As far as being plug in, no it isn't. You would have to buy the correct dash harness for it, Cleveland you would have to pull the harness out of a car with ATC. As far as the body harness that goes to the back of the car, looking at parts diagrams there is no build codes for the HVAC included so you may be able to leave that harness alone. The headlight harness doesn't either. The dash harness has the HVAC codes in their descriptions. If you get the box, make sure the harness is on it. You need the sun sensor, the correct defroster grille, and the control head of course. The power module for the blower is mounted on the housing. Who wants to doe such a extensive conversion???
