How mamy have had to replace steering rack?

Just wondering, how many folks have had to replace the steering rack? I am about ready to replace mine for the third time. $500 for the part+labor+alignment. First one was warantee, second one was a $100 charge, this ones on my nickel. Car shimmies and my new BFG's are already cupping!:wtf:

99,000. Called the factory rep, but with that many miles, they kinda laughed. I'm hoping they have improved the inner tie rod end as the new part # for the rack is different this time. Funny thing I never had a problem with ball joints or tie rod ends with any Toyota. Toyota buys them from a factory in Brewer ,Maine ZF Lemforter corp. a German company, go figure.
