Has anyone made any progress on this????
If the 250HP rear is 3.23, does anyone know if it is posi?? Or at least limited slip..???
Does anyone know if there is a gear for the speedmeter or if it is computer controled??
If the 3.23 is the same size and I can get the speed reading right.. I am willing to buy one to try it and see.. Just would like some more info..
I went FROM 3.23 to 3.73 in my GS400 and got 1/2 second faster to 60. I used a stock Supra TT Rear, maybe one FROM like s s600 MB would fit......

I am VERY interested in doing this as well. Both of my last 2 cars had 3.42's and made driving alot more fun. Although the power of this car can make up for some of the gear it could use a little more help.

My quess would be the spedo is controlled by the computer. It will require a software change to account for the rpm ranges. This is what has to be done with GM rear wheel drive cars.

The rear end final gear ratio in both the 3.5 & 2.7 liter V6 is listed as 3.90 per Dodge.com Magnums Specifications. That is better!

Someone needs to figure this out.. if the 250HP has a 3.90 with a 4 speed trans, then the RT with the 5 speed should scream with it and be OK on the highway..
MY Gs400 speed was controlled by the Navagition so I did not have to do anything after I changed the rear, the speed was never off, but I am sure it is a software thing in the Magnum.. BUT, should not be that hard to figure out...

The 5 speed's gear ratios are lower, so the final drive ratio shouldn't be too high.

There is an error on the Dodge Magnum spec sheet page listing both V6 with 3.90 final drives. The Chrysler 300 Spec site has it correct Thanks.

Anywhere in the 10s is the magic number for drag racing lanches. But it is nice to have some more gear to smoke to tire easy with just the throttle. Been told my many who have hemi that the start to break in good a around 5000 miles.
Have you seen the rear? It seams like you have to remove the entire rear pumpkin to change gears. Back suspension cradle is bolted to rear cover. Only about 3 inches between cover and supension frame. Don't get me wrong, I would be one the first in line to swap gears, but definetly going to be more expensive to put gears it. :D
