Ok some people wanted to know if we can have a calendar that will show events and M&G's that we are going to have in the future. With Tom's permission I have created a basic yahoo groups page because it is free and they have a calendar part.

So please take a look at it and sign up so that you can get group emails or knowledge of "approved" SoCalLX events.

This is for right now and who knows if change it later for a better type of system.

How about we create something that we host under the SoCalLX domain? We could go to www.SoCalLX.com/calendar (http://www.SoCalLX.com/calendar) to see what's going on. I would just rather not sign into yahoo to have to see the calendar.

Example: http://webdesign.about.com/od/layout/l/zcalfeb07.htm
(just using this as an example as it is the first web calendar that appeared in my search)

Jon... sounds great to me... I just couldn't find a free site to sign up for a calendar that everyone can sign up for... we can not use the calendar section on this site since it is full of birthday events...

If someone can find something that is easy/better... I am al up for that as well...

Just let TMagnum know....

The calendar is a great idea. Let me get with Tom and we'll set something up with the SoCalLX domain.

Jon, you have the info you need to add it to the socallx site go ahead and take Alberts info or whatever you need and lets make it work, thanks guys the help is appreciated. :not_worth

are any of you out there myspace users?? What about a myspace page or something? It has all that kinda stuff, I think, available.

I can look into that if help is needed :)

SoCalLX on Myspace is up, but still in the works.

How do you sign up? Not sure what I'm doing, I know I'm hopeless, but really I don't see a place to sign up.

When you go to that page... you will see on the right top side of the page.... "JOIN THIS GROUP"... once you click on that it will ask you for a yahoo name and password... after you put that in... and click log in... you should be good.

Once we get things more managed here I think it might be a good idea to post our events in here.

JonW & Mighty Noid are working on something that I think will work great for posting just events and stuff related to the club only.

OK - new calendar and site is up and running. Due to DNS updates, you may not be able to access it until sometime tomorrow (4/29).

Hey guys, very impressed with the calender/site. Looks great. Do we all have to just register in there as well?

The quick links/pics for the event is a nice touch. Very helpful.

No registration needed at this time. However, we do have a registration database system built into the site and ready to go for when we start doing some organized events.

A little more notice and planning this might have been fun to do, but certainly worth remembering for next year. But don't let that stop anyone from attending this event if your able to.
