What a day.
My phone rang at about 5:45 am the call was one of total panic. It’s raining, the event is never going to happen……..

Ok, well is it going to rain all day?? Most likely not, so calm down, I will be there as soon as I re wash my two cars and do a few last moment mods. Just calm down and the sun will come out.

Next call a few moments later, more panic, and some bad news, the girls do not work in the rain, they just cancelled. Okay well p!$$ on them and lets just keep cool.

The next call came I still did not have my shirt on. The low rider guys will not drive in the rain, and the catering service will not come if we cannot guarantee enough people to make it worth their time.

Okay how many people is enough? You don’t know, well just bring some barbecues and I will buy the burgers and hot dogs, that will have to be enough P!$$ on the caterer too.

The next call was more bad news, and I told them to just chill out, Arizona LX always kept their word and there would be the kind of people showing up they would love to have around.

Now I have had some tough mornings but this was getting to be pure malicious retardation (thanks bandit) a little rain and you would have thought it was ARK time here in the valley. I am very proud to say not one of our members call to ask me Whisky Richard.

The National Guard did not get their items to the event, and in fact with all the NASCAR stuff they had to do I was not surprised. Too bad a race was so important. I am sure that if they had their way they all would have been at the event for James. Orders are Orders and our request was a very last moment thing. I thank them for their service and for their time and effort to attempt to do the impossible.

Now for the great news,

Arizona LX has one awesome crew. To say we had fun would be an understatement. To say that G.A.M.E. was just accommodating would be a very large understatement. The owner, and all the staff treated us like we were the crew we were, and after the event The shook my hand and Kenyatta said “I feel like I just got off a never-ending ride, like I will never calm down” To which I replied, yea and those guys let me hang out with them…
“You have some real awesome friends; I hope you all will be at our next event.”

Well yeah we will! it’s the mustang VS. LX event I know I’m in.

So that is the beginning, and the end. I would love to tell you all about the middle, but there are so many photos to add, so many things to consider, and so many people to thank. I will be spending some time on the middle, and I will say this there will be some video, and some stills that will be offered up on disc for a donation. The video of the twenty one Lx gun salute is one item I am sure you will not want to miss.

The drifting by Our resident expert driver Dan Realtor and a host of others is a lot of fun.

The special guests that attended were awesome, and I will be putting something together for that as well.

I am sure that from his position so far above us, James was pleased to see,
those of us that are still here living proud and living free.

All the best,
Now drive on

Good stuff and I couldn't have said it better myself. Let's just call this one the "test run".

It wasn't me.
You must have me confused with somebody else.

Just a sedan officer, nothing to be concerned about.

It was a lot of fun. My kids enjoyed it as well. My youngest (Ben 5 years old) liked it up until the burnouts which scared him a little. He's fine though. He's never seen that before.

Funny thing. I didn't even attempt a burnout at the event. After I got home and got the car cleaned up I took a cruise down Speedway (the Tucson cruise street). When I did a U turn at Wilmot it broke loose like crazy. Smooth road I guess plus the U turn. Oh well.

On the way home from my solo cruise a woman in a mini-van wanted to race. We were stopped at at least 3 red lights side by side. I killed her no problem and she gave me the thumbs up but let me tell you if I had not been able to beat a mini-van it would be time to hang it up and thrown in the towel.

Lol, as always it was a pleasure. I forgot the sunscreen ...again , so I'm a bit red ...again.

I enjoyed meeting new people , and visiting with old faces as well. But the guy who stole the show was CJ. And he is only 2 months old. Hahaha!

I want to thank those who made the long trips up from Ft Huachuca and Tucson. I look forward to seeing you again.

Ok, off to bed. I'm tyred and sun burnt.

G'nite.
