Yeah...I had to swap out the staggered 20's for the staggered 22's! My co-worker has been eyeballin' my 20's for weeks! So when the 22's came out...I was ALL over them!

Actually, I was thinking about just getting the 22's for the rear to get that raked look....but....I was made an offer I couldn't refuse...SO 22's all around! :bling:

I'll get 'er all cleaned-up and purdy for the next set of pics... These were taken when I first got home from getting them mounted.

OOOOOO WEEEEE those are sweet. That is a big difference from the 20"s. Hows the ride on the 22"s??

monty1269
04-24-2007, 01:44 PM
Since I had some *slight* rubbing issues, I went with the slightly lower profile tire..I went from a (rear) 295/40, to a 295/30 size tire. Which equates to about a 1" smaller tire. So far no rubbing in the rear! (that sounds kinda funny! )

ANYWAYS....
The ride is a bit rougher due to the thinner-walled tire, but it also gives you firmer corners....This is ALWAYS the trade-off. thin tire = better handling, "harder" ride. FAT tires = more cushion for the pushin'!

Comprende?

NVRDUN
04-24-2007, 02:12 PM

monty1269

Here is that "lip" for ya! That is a standard size business card on there....

First shot...is the REAR tire:

http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b387/monty1269/P0001321.jpg

And the FRONT...YES, it is the FRONT TIRE:

You can go with 20's if you use a 3mm spacer on the front. 22's will not work. Just ask Lori :Na_Na_Na_Na:

That sucks, i almost ordered a set locally. These guys around here don't know sqwat. I priced out for Dirty Dog DUBS and Foose Nitrous 22's Staggered and they told me they have bolted on the Dirty's and no issues on the SRT, Rims 22/10.5 and tires 295/30/22 rears and 22/9.5 and 265/35/22 fronts. Now who do i believe? At $825 a rim canadian and $400.00 a tire i kinda want to make sure i'm not throwing my money away.

Maybe a slight thread jump.
I have Foose Nitrous 18s and 22s on my Prowler.
I like the rims, but they would look much better without the “bolts”.
The question is: Will the new Foose still fit my Prowler?

I was gonna do the 20's up fron...and the 22's on the rear. But then my co-worker bought my old 20's...SO.....done!

monty1269

guest01
09-11-2007, 04:30 PM
So this is how it starts...one little $25 mod, then $1k here, and $3k there...its spreading! Well, hope I like the 22's without lowering it...if not, then I'll prolly 'drop'(get it? ha) another $500 for a Hotchki kit.

Ernie.....

monty1269
09-11-2007, 05:32 PM
sure right....500...then ya' realise ya wanna squash those ricers even more (especially in a "grocery getter") and then you drop 4-5K for the cam/heads...maybe another 2K for the Nitrous setup.... Then you decide to scrap all that and jump into a turbo set-up.....then of course you need to put that power to the ground via torque converter, etc etc etc...

YEP! it goes on and on..... :whew:

Franfriggintastic...I'm impressed with these rims! Somebody could've warned me how heavy these friggin wheels are. Can't wait to get them mounted - Eibach springs will come in tommorow and hopefully show some pics by Friday/Saturday.

I'm thinking about taking the springs/tires @ TiresPlus for install/mount, but I'm very worried they'll scratch the rims & over-torque the lugs...

Man those look great, I was the first person with foose nitrous on a 94-96 impala SS, They were grey and I ran adapters to make them work, but then they came out with them for our bolt pattern in 20's chrome, but I really want some staggard 22's in black...

Welp - it's finally done. I have good news and bad news.

The good news:

http://lh5.google.com/gavin20/Rv3UKyP0o6I/AAAAAAAACZ0/sxgQIdAKkRg/s144/magnum%20wheels%20008.jpg

The bad news

The rears rub like crazy on every turn, bump, and bends with ease. Of course, I had 3 passengers, fully loaded. Not sure if that would make a difference, but I wanted it to handle a full load. Looks like it's rubbing on the fenders as I've heard from some folks. I plan to take it to an auto body shop tommorow morning and see if they can roll the fenders. Hope they don't charge me out the ying-yang. And I'm guessing my only alternative would be to install adjustible shocks in the rear? Took the buddy's out for a movie and I cringed everytime I heard it scrap the fender...prolly about ~25 times or so. Had to drive super-slow...and that's a bad thing for me...I have a rep to keep around town!

Any suggestions?

Rears never hit on mine, the fronts hit the fender on a big bump. Did you go with the pro-kit or the sportline?

Went with the pro-kit. I've been driving around by myself and one passenger and it doesn't hit. Just when I have a couple folks in the back - but this is driving very cautiously.

Question on rolling the fenders. How do you deal with the inner fender well? I assume after rolling the inner fender, the wheel well no longer secures to the lip? I've yet to find to a body shop capable(or wanting to...) of rolling the fenders.

Btw....I luv em
