I have my hands on a set of 20" x 8.5" Vagare V5 Faceplants, they will bolt up to my charger, but the offset is 35.

Can anybody confirm if these wheels will run without grief???
Thanks.

If you have a 2wd car then the offset is too high. 4wd will work fine.

What he said. You need a ~15-22mm offset for the RWD LX cars.

Just for the sake of explaining why... I'll do this as simple as I can.

Lots of folks(including myself) run the 20x9" SRT8 wheels that have a 25.5mm offset on the non-SRT cars. A 3mm spacer if required on the front to get the wheel to clear the steering knuckle while steering in reverse. Basically, a 20x9 20-22mm offset would be perfect to clear the knuckle and not have to much fender interference(if lowered). Thus, a 20x8.5 35mm offset wheel would be 5-6mm inboard of the SRT8 wheels(w/ 3mm spacer). You'd have 12mm more offset (moving the wheel in) minus the 1/4inch less width(only 5-6mm back out). You would hit the front knuckle.

On 2 different width rims, to keep the back edge at the same position, the wider rim needs to have a smaller offset.

I.e., if you would have the same offset on an 8" rim and a 10" rim, the inner and outer part of the rim will extend out 1" ( [10-8]/2=1 )towards the inside and 1" towards the outside. As we are talking here we want the inner part of the rim to stay at the same position, therefore we would want the 10" rim to have a 1" less offset than the 8" rim.
...I think...

Well done boys! I knew why the tolerances were required, but wasn't sure where it would rub/hit. Thanks for the super detailed, make head hurt. ouch.
