Has any one heard of a metal plate that can be put behind the grill for a shine back look. I am told that a chrysler dealer in naples fl has put one in along with a few other mods and is showing it off. I am trying to research where get the plate and more info on it. Also has any one heard of Ultra-shield as an alternitive to a bra.

Do not put a metal plate or anything behing the grill. The grill needs to be unobstructed to get air INTO the engine compartment.

apparently the chrysler dealer said that the plate they used was "approved for use." It does have a lot of dime size holes in it. I dont how in to this i would be because it sounds like a bad idea for the engine but i still want to know if any one else has seen or tried it. I'm going to contact that dealer and find out where they got it.

Keep in mind, dealers don't know anything about cars & what is or isnt good for them.

it sounds kinda like the grilles that are being put on the pickups... they look almost solid...

kinda like this: stainless grille (http://www.stylinconcepts.com/part.cfm?PartID=17799&PartFamilyID=1447&SubCategor yID=148&CategoryID=25&lc=pfpartt)
but mounted behind the grille instead of in front

Hey its just air flow to the cooling system.
Who needs that.. Chrysler must of made a mistake, go ahaed put one in.. oh and then for fun .. tow some thing with the A/C on, going over a mountain pass..

Not!
The openings are as large as they need to be. If you have the money to blow on the REPAIR go for it..
