I had a guy stop in the middle of his left turn and just stare!
Right in front of me! In the middle of the intersection!
That brought more attention on the car! Geez!
I gave a pretty good gawk today on the interstate....at a new Touring Edition. ;)

My wife saw a jade 300C on the Mass Pike today...Wish I saw it, she said it looked awesome in motion.

I won't be doing much gawking until I see the Magnum's on the road. ;) I like the looks of the Magnum loads more than the 300.
Between Minneapolis and Chicago I saw a grand total of three 300's, and about eight Kia Amanti's and at a quick first glance, the Kia looks like a 300, must be the huge grill. :(

Got a great reaction FROM a couple of my son's 20-yr old friends. Did a burnout onto the road pulling out of a restaurant driveway. Did I mention I'm a 50 year old mom?

When I was picking up my Deep Lava 300C at the dealership in Philly, a crowd was gathered around it. When I was getting in it, a 20-something black girl said, "Did you just buy that your car?" "Yes" "Damn, you gonna git some Hoes in that!" I just fell out laughing. Too funny.
Also, I was parked in front of the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in Manhattan, a GROUP of Valet's gathered around and started asking me all sorts of questions..."Does it have a V-8? That looks just like a Bentley!...Can I touch the seats?"
Then I parked on a dark street in NYC. As I was returning to the car, I noticed some figure bent down in front of the car....hmmmm...I flashed the headlights and he jumped up. As I approached he said, "That's a really nice car" He was apparently looking at the grille to figure out what kind of car it was. He kept staring at it as he walked back to his car....a new Mercedes Benz E-class that was parked behind me. Good times.

Many gawks. Notice most are FROM two categories. Luxory performance car owners like Mercedes and BMWs. They really seem to appeciate it. The other GROUP are V-8 muscle car or performance truck types. I have also noticed I have received more thumbs up and attention FROM African Americans than any other car I have had (just seemed to notice over time, no reason or meaning behind the comment). I welcome all the attention.
Did have a guy in a Mercedes in a parking lot got out and really looked and asked me alot of questions. He liked the car but I did not appreciate it when he had his hands all over it and reached inside and started touching the leather and stuff - with out asking.

I got a thumbs-up FROM a guy in a Viper the other day... It doesn't get much better than that. ;)

came up on a early '70's cutlass convertible that was lowered and looking very clean. I wanted to look at his car but, just as I got behind him, he points over his shoulder and the other three people in the car turn and look at my "C". I passed him slow and we both looked at each others cars and nodded approval.

it took us 10 minutes to leave the Home Depot parking lot 2 weeks ago right after the magnum got painted because people were asking so many questions
just finished bagging it yesterday and already seen 3 very close calls in front of the shop because people are staring at it instead of the traffic

When I drove to the dealership to take delivery, there were eight spectators admiring the vehicle.
A young lady driving a CTS stopped me on the Sears parking lot and indicated that she loved the overall design of the car.
A male driver in a lexus just smiled and gave me the thumbs up.

Goodness. I've enjoyed so many memorable gawks since I began driving my 300C a month ago.
The sweetest one occured just moments ago during my customary evening cruise for compliments. I was at a stop-sign with my windows down, when a particularly handsome and discerning young lad, about ten years of age, came riding by on a bicycle (I regret that I did not recognize its make) and said, "Nice car mister."
"Thank you" was my sincere, if somewhat startled reply and I gave him a hearty thumbs-up which he reciprocated with utmost agility.
Ah, would that I had been so precocious in youth...perhaps I would have amounted to something by now...

I have a Magnum. but I was 1st in line at a stop light downtown today, and a guy who was crossing the street, stopped in the middle of the road, gawked for about 5 seconds, gave me a thumbs up and then walked around half of the car. I found it amusing.

another magnum chiming in..... I've had quite a few myself. I'll give you three of the most memorable.
The best was going down I-95 about 80mph with a friend in the car. A big ass truck (dont remember make) came up side of me (i had the windows down) and he started yelling, asking us how much the car was. My friend yelled back, which seemed to satisfy his curiosity.
The next...oddest, was when a bunch of stoned rednecks pulled up next to me at a stop light. They were in a dodge ram. the guy in the passenger side VERY slowly slid up FROM his 'i'm stoned and hiding FROM the cops' position. Then he rolled down his window. also slowly. and starts talking with his stoned hick accent. 'ey. dat thang gotta hemah? heh heh heh.' at this point i was a bit tired of answering those people with the same question, because, well, they all think they're funny. so i just kinda nodded and said, yup. the stoned gigling continued. then he said, i'm not knocin ya's. and he started tapping on the dodge ram giving me an approval nod as their turn light changed.
The last and most meaningless....
I was at a stop light, and you've all seen them. The guys with the signs. yup, asking for money, booze, whatever.... I of course had all the windows open. The bum walks up, hey nice ride man! I said thanks, and luckily he walked away and i didn't need to break out the tire iron. after all, hearing my ride is nice FROM a bum really touches my heart. (sense the sarcasm?)
ok thats enough

On Friday the 20th I was at a red light on a 4 lane high way and a car stopped beside me, honked his horn and after I lowered the window told me "What a Cool ride!"
