So, 1st chance to get the car out and have fun since I bought it.
1st thing I noticed, heated seats turning down and off on there own. This didn't happen on my 04 Pacifica, is it supposed to happen on the 300?
Also, the volume just started going up on it's own at one point. The volume bar on the radio (REC) was going up and I wasn't touching anything. I had to press the down volume button the steering wheel to get it to stop.
I also thought I do a few 0-60 times. 1st one went great (5.82).. had a little wheelspin on launch so I thought I would use a little break and hold on the 2nd launch. ESP was on, I got a little wheel chirp and then the thing just fell flat on it's face. Motor RPM went to idle then it finally caught and revved up. It was only a split second but it acted like the old carberator engines when the accelerator pump goes out. The next and last time I did a 0-60, I shut the ESP off and didn't have a problem, other than the car went pretty much sideways and cooked the tires all the way through the intersection. The time sucked, but man the launch was cool. Had to listen to the wife complain about wearing out the tires though.. I also noticed that each time I did a 0-60, the cruise control shut off. I had the cruise on because we were on a short trip and I was on a state hiway. I used the cross roads every 5 miles or so for the 0-60 tests.
Anyone have any comments on these issues or has anyone had the same probelms? If so, have you had them fixed or did they go away on there own or are you just living with them?
thanks

First welcome:)

The falling flat on its face was the ESP keeping the car in check:)

Its normal. The radio I am not sure of... the heated seats may come on when the cabin temp sensor sees a huge discrepency with the inside temp as related to the set point.

from fsm:

When high-temperature heating is selected, the heaters provide a boosted heat level during the first four minutes of operation after heating is activated. The heat output then drops to the normal high-temperature level. If high-level heating is selected, the control system will automatically switch to the low level after two hours of continuous operation. At that time, the number of illuminated LEDs changes from two to one, indicating the change. Operation on the low setting also turns off automatically after two hours.
The module will automatically turn off the heating elements if it detects an OPEN or LOW short in the heating element circuit.

fnkychkn,
The seats were on for maybe 15 minutes. I had mine set to low, it turned off. My wife had hers set to high, it went to low. Do you suppose the timing is screwed up and not allowing for the full 2 hours? Is this something that is adjustable possiblly through the same evic screens the 0-60 timer is on? fsm? factory service manual?

Other things for me are when I do the AUTO UP windows, or Moon Roof, some times they will just stop and do the opposite! I.E. Auto DOWN will go half way, freak out, and go back up! Strange......

The ESP thing drives me nuts, sometimes it'll just kill the throttle even though the wheels are spinning fine, I don't get that part. Is it possible, the tires just get sooo hot and stickey, the car can't spin'm!? No way.

well, that's a strange one. does this happen everytime? if so, it may be a programming issue. timer is not adjustable. if a flash won't fix it, module may have to be replaced.

fsm = factory shop manual

- Jamosauto up/down windows and/or sunroof reversing direction is usually caused by poor adjustment of regulator/glass run. when current draw exceeds predetermined value, the door module which controls the window motor will initiate a reversal of direction.

unless you completely understand ESP purpose and function, it can seem to intrude at the most inopportune moments.
