I stopped by a bookstore today hoping to find the May issue of Car & Driver, but instead found the May issue of Road & Track with a very nice review of the 300C. They state that "the ride quality is impressive, with springing on the comfort side, but enough shock control to give a locked-down, planted feel with little sense of wallow or float." They report 0 to 60 in 5.6 seconds, 69dBA at 70MPH, .79 g on a 200' skidpad, 60 to 0 in 126' and 80 to 0 in 227'.

Too bad it seems (so far anyway) DC is doing as much to promote these cars as they did the LH's. :(

See the NY Autoshow thread to see what I mean.

The LX cars should be every Magazines "Car of the Year for 2005".

I agree Kev....finally sitting in these cars in person and going over every inch of them really makes me think DC hit it on the head this time.

I just got a "Road & Track Special Supplement" for the Chrysler 300 in the mail today. It is probably put out by DC but it's the most info I have seen in print for the 300. It is 66 pages long and nice glossy color. It shows nice cutaways of the motors, and all the suspensions (including the AWD) laid out to see. I also noticed a few other things about how the 300C's headlights are different then the other 300's. One other thing that stood out was a few concept drawings for the front end. I must say that bottom drawing on that page looks much, much better then the production 300. The grill dropped down below the headlights, with the headlights slightly angled down give a more sinister look. Maybe if somebody just makes a diamond grill INSERT for the stock eggcrate, it would improve the look some. The old school 300 badge on the side of the top concept should be put INTO production also, in place of the plain door guards on the 300C. Lots of nice info though, and I also being a mailman saw that it was pretty well distributed. It had greater coverage then the actual Road and Track magazines, plus the route I did today was basically lower middle class, and yet was about 5% covered. Not Victoria's Secret or anything, but more advertising for a Chrysler product then I have ever seen before.
