We may need to plan an intervention.

YES....though I just tried out the New Diet Coke Plus (http://www.carbwire.com/2007/03/23/diet_coke_plus_debuts_with_splenda_sticking_around _a_while) (with added Vitamins and Minerals) I figure if I'm drinking gallons of this crap a day...might as well throw a vitamin or two in there while I'm at it.

It is all about shelf space. The more slots major brands can command the fewer that are available to less popular brands and stores will likely drop off brands.
Coke Zero is not bad....;)

I too have a "issue" with a Pepsi product, in my cse it's diet Mt. Dew..I go through 6-7 a day. My wife is the diet Pepsi aholic..
Have any of you tried the Coke Zero yet? I actually like it. Sufar is a bad thing for me so I really don't have a choice, it has to be diet

Coke Zero is pretty decent. And it's even better with a bit of Jack in it.

My current Fav is Pepsi One. Splenda is the only "diet" sweetner thing that I can tolerate, and I now prefer the Pepsi One because any of the non-diet soda's taste too "sweet" to me.
My previous Favorite was Pepsi Edge. half the sugar as Reg pepsi, but the other half was Splenda... (50/50 sugar/spenda). but that isn't available around here anymore.... so... oh well, right?

Because diet pepsi tastes like crap, now if the new drink tastes like regular pepsi and has half the calories and less sugar or fake sugar that tastes good, then I'm all for it.

After years and years of living on diet soda, (juvenile diabetic) I gave it all up entirely last fall. Yeah, water's boring, but there's nothing in it to screw with my metabolism or possibly give me cancer, there's no caffeine and no sugar and no weird preservatives and weirdness to give it "flavor" or "color".
As for the argument over less sugar, if you want sugar, have sugar, if you don't want sugar, then just go without instead of turning to artificial sweeteners. There's pretty much nothing good about artificial sweeteners, aside from you like to THINK it tastes like sugar to make up for the fact it usually tastes like crap. I never drank diet coke or diet pepsi for the "taste".

Since companies can't use subliminal messages anymore, they try to find ways to stick their product in people's faces. Now it's done by constantly coming out with new products that is almost no difference than what they have now.
BTW, it was good that subliminal messaging was deemed illegal. That is just a devious way of selling products. Something I would never support.

I can't tolerate any of the Diet soda products. Gives me headaches the Aspertane in it (Equal). So full blown sugar drinks for me, although I have tapered off to just one a day!
Now southern sweet tea, oh yeah the only power drink!!!!

I used to work for Pepsi waaaay back. During the "Crystal Pepsi" debacle.
Put in a good word for me, I wouldn't mind getting back with them. They have a huge office here in Purchase, NY. :)

I believe so. I have not seen it in many stores in my area though, only the big grocery stores...Just like Coke Zero, I have had to ask the gas stations to saddle up and get with the program to get it in stock. LOL

Do tell! I know they are going to start rotating the pepsi cans logos and such. Has the below drink come out yet?
Also upcoming from PepsiCo is a sparkling fortified drink called Tava. Mixing the product attributes of the company’s recently purchased Izze brands and Coca-Cola’s Enviga, Tava is billed as a fortified fruit drink containing vitamins and chromium, which claims to boost metabolism and weight loss. The product will be available this fall in Carribbean-inspired flavors.
