Anyone know if they work with these wheels? This is the last thing I need to make sure of before I pull the trigger. So please, please tell me they will go on the wheels with no problems?!?!

Todd, from the searching I've done on the forum, it looks like we won't really know if the sensors fit well inside these wheels until we try. And it doesn't look like there's any way to deactivate the TPMS feature in your car, either. I don't think any of the other 20" AR 311 RT-S wheel owners here have used TPMS, unless there are any lurkers that could chime in. You are welcome to try the valve/sensor install at a local Discount Tire, and I'll take the wheels and tires back in their existing condition if it doesn't work. All of that is at your expense, though, so you'll have to determine if you want to take that risk.

I guess I could have them try one... let me call a discount tire...

I can't imagine why they wouldn't fit.
Not the same wheel, but I just ordered a set of 20" Torq Thrusts and am having the sensors installed and tires mounted.
I didn't see anything on the tirerack site that would lead me to believe the sensors wouldn't work in pretty much any wheel.

Some wheels have the valve stem hole drilled in such a way that the sensor would be at too great an angle to properly read pressure... I know, I know, pressure is non-directional, but them's the facts. Anyway, I spoke with American Racing just now and they said "no problem!" SO in case anyone else wanted to know, there's the answer, for now, until I actually get them installed :-D

You're partially right on the direction thing....they supposedly work off magnetism so I'm sure the angle has something to do with their read out.

They should fit without any problems. Just bought some from another forum member with the TPMS installed. I will be picking them up tomorrow so I'll know for sure.

A little unique or a last ditch effort to find a reason not to get them? :Na_Na_Na_Na:

Dude don't start, I'm not backing out. I have confirmation from AR that it'll work and I have a Firestone quote of $132 to dismount tires, swap valve stems, remount tires, and balance all eight wheels involved. It's a done deal **sigh**
And did you see the Corsa sale Tbyrne is running?
Yeah, Mastercard, you know you love me!!!!!

We'll see how upset you are once she's sittin' on her new shoes. I was going to wait until I installed the coilovers to put on my wheels but seeing your car just may change my mind.
I saw that sale, perfect timing, no? LOL It always happens that way.
