o k , i looked around this forum, for the answer, but, didn't see it, my sxt needs tires, and i would like to get wheels also, personally i don't like the big wheels, so i was thinking of a set of r/t wheels, 18's, that is as big as i would go, now, i've looked at some vendor sites, and they have the se and sxt seperate from the r/t, is the offset different? i did see a set i liked, but, $225 ea. i can't do right now,
so, after all that, will r/t wheels fit (work) on my sxt?
thanks for the help...

Hi Tom, The SXT is only an appearance package on the base SE. If your insurance is like mine, it states that I drive a Magnum SE. Therefore, there is no difference between the SE and SXT. As far as replacement wheels/tires, I did a lot of research to replace the crappy 17" Continentals (which I am using for the winter) and wound up with a great deal on a set of 18" R/T wheels with Goodyear Assurance tires that were being taken off a new '06 Charger. Got them complete with locks and spare lug nuts. Very happy with the improved handling (when they were on for the summer) Felt a big difference in handling when putting the stock 17" Contis back on for the winter!

Yup, the R/T wheels will fit just fine and it looks like lots of people have done just that.

I will have the set off mine available later this week when my new wheels come in. They have the TPMS sensors and Goodyear Assurance's with about 11k on them and lots of tread left. I imagine you'd rather buy locally if you can but if you're interested in having a set shipped let me know.

TPMS is the Tire Pressure Monitor System that turns on an indicator light if one of your tires drops below 75% of it's rated inflation (some of them go so far as to tell you which tire is low).

If you don't already have it (and you likely don't), it won't hurt anything. But for someone who does it's an added expense to have new sensors installed in the wheels.
