I wanted to know after how many miles do you rotate your tires.. I was told by the tire shop manager that I bought my rims from that it has to be done every 5000 miles.. is this true? is it also true that you have to balance tires when you rotate them?? please advise.. thank you guys!!

5k is a good point. No need to balance every time unless you feel a vibration. Pattern is rears straight to the front then fronts cross to the rear.

I go 6k religiously. Balancing checked & adjusted as needed at each rotation.
Suggest you ask the pro RichMorgan.

I've always heard every other oil change. So, 6k would be about right. 5k should be no problem unless you have to pay for the rotation.

What if you have staggered wheels how do you rotate those? example:
Front 20 x 8.5
Rear 20 x 10

If you have directional tires, you don't rotate. If you don't have directional tires, you can only do side to side.

Directional tires go front to rear! Staggered tires need to go side to side.
