If I read correctly on another thread (http://www.lxforums.com/board/showthread.php?p=702760#post702760) the correct code for Inferno Red is PRH and if you order from your dealer that's what you'll get. The can will come labeled Blaze Red, but the color is correct.

PEL (original Inferno Red)
PRH (later "Inferno Red" but other vehicles have it as Blaze Red- same paint)

AXR = Chrysler Brilliant Black Pearl
PXR = Dodge Brilliant Black Peral
Both the same.
Note for Inferno/Blaze Red Pearl, Brilliant Black. These are 3 stage candy colors.
Stage 1) You MUST use proper base coat NOT just any old primer, if you do color will be close but not match
Stage 2) Apply Blaze Pearl / BB Pearl
Stage 3) Clearcoat
These are the only colors I know of this for sure being 3 stage as I have painted them. Any other color on this list 3 stage? Im betting TorRed and Impact colors are as well.
Edit: Recently learn that Impact colors are not 3 stage, they are monotone colors.

Is it possible to spot paint a Magnum with Brilliant Black Pearl? I've been told by a dealer and one body shop that the only way to do any painting on these cars is a TOTAL repaint - correct - Yes or No

Just another clarification - PYH, Solar Yellow: that's Top Banana. for those who need it, you won't find it listed under TB...

Whats the proper base coat? do you need this on stuff like engine covers and what notI bought some 2 stage paint and while I haven't painted anything yet, the test piece that I did spray seemed to be an excellent match and I plan on using it to do both my chin spoiler and rear spoiler. Mopar also sells a single stage though I haven't tried it on anything yet. You should be fine with either for doing things like under hood stuff.

From what I know not a painter or nothing, with candy colors anything more then a nice scuff is hard as hell to get out.

When you buy the paint they should give you 2 bottles/cans, one is the base, one is the red w/ pearl. The 3rd stage is just clear, no color codes for any clear obviously just use what they have its cheap. And yes you always need the base and clear to get a match.

GoMango was a 2006 only color, not 2007. :) Top Banana was also a 2006 only color.

I would practice on a spare piece before spraying anything on the car. Metallics / Pearl (Mica) paints can be effected by the distance that the painter is holding the gun from the panel . Closer is darker ,farther is lighter. The amount of air pressure can also effect the color. As for multi stage paints , you will have to have the correct number of mid coats to achieve the correct color/tone. Mid coats will become darker or richer as you apply more.
