ESP/BAS lights won't go off!

I did RTJunkie's mod to switch off ESP, but I was never using it, so I decided to go back to stock.
So I took out the switch, wires, etc, and connected the violet/blue wire back together using about 2" of wire. Now the ESP/BAS light stays on.....

I'm not great with electronics..... how can I trouble shoot or fix this?

You better check the connections... Don't want them coming loose at the wrong time!

Have you tried resetting them? It's in the owners manual.
