I need to get the shaft!

If anyone out there has a broken axle shaft, please consider letting me have it for about a week or 2 for analysis. I need to see how it failed in order to asses an idea that I have.
The way that it broke will tell me what I need to know.
If you have a 5.7l or SRT8, either one!

I think it'd almost be more beneficial to magnaflux/zyglo a shaft from a high-power car that hasn't yet broken... Running the ol' Rockwell hardness on it wouldn' hurt either.

Its gonna take more power than anyone here is making to break one. Soon as these guys start making 600-700 hp, they may start breaking, but with an automatice Tranny, it may hold longer, put that 6 speed in there and bang some gears and you'll get one.

Uh, yeah...I broke one driving on the street shifting to 2nd gear on the way to the track with my Drag Radials on...so some of us are making good power.
