There are guys out there who can repair curb rash. I'm waiting for the "wheel guy" to make his regular stop at my local Dodge dealer to fix some minor rash on one of my SRT8 rims. I've been assured that I won't be able to tell it was ever there. Not sure about the cost or how he does the repair but will try to post something about the whole process once it's done. With any luck, I'll be able to take a few pics of him in action. You might want to ask your local dealer/s if they have someone that performs the service.

When I bought my set of SRT rims, one had a bit of rash. I took it to a wheel repair shop, and they resurfaced the lip. It cost me $90, but you cant even tell it was ever jacked up.
But...they did say they can't resurface a chrome wheel

....crap! So I guess the chrome trim rings on on the Foose can't be fixed then?

Was the shop saying it can't be done, or they could not perform the repair?

You must have the whole wheel chromed again, that's why they cant resurface a chrome rim. When you chrome something it's all or nothing.

I am feeling the pain as well. Just realized I have two wheels with some rash. Very sad

My Foose are color-matched, so getting them re chromed is not an option.
Only the lip is chromed.

I thought the lip was polished stainless?

You know what, you're probably right, Erik. I still don't know if it can be repaired.

I'm afraid you're SOL with an easy fix for chrome rims. I had rash on 2 SRT rims, thanks to a family member that will remain unnamed. Today, the rim repair dude came to my home and made things better. It wasn't cheap but pretty quick and easy for me. Here's a pic of him doing the job. He started with a disc sander and worked his way through various grades of polishing compounds. When complete, it's very difficult to tell the area that was repaired from new. It sure beats dismounting and sending out for repair. That's especially true for us SRT8 owners with no spare.

Your rash isn't that bad. Just drive it, you're one of the very few that will notice. Cars are for driving and these things happen when you don't have much sidewall. If you fix it, it will just happen again so go enjoy your ride.

I just priced it a bunch of places. Mobile guy wants $50/wheel, American Wheel wants $109/wheel (discount for online car forum members), Some other place wanted $210/wheel, and two places wouldn't touch it. Good luck :-p Rechroming extra.
