The following is one of many methods you can use to get pictures to show within your posts. The following tutorial assumes you're running a Windows operating system:

1) Open your PhotoBucket account ( www.photobucket.com (http://www.photobucket.com) ). I have the premium account, so the following instructions are based on it. I'm assuming you either have a premium account, or the basic account has the same link ability.

Uploading pictures from your harddrive to Photobucket is covered in the help on the Photobucket site.

Once open and after uploading your pictures, you'll see something like this:

2) You'll notice three boxes under each picture. Its the third box you're going to want to use. Click once in that third box, and the whole link should highlight.

*NOTE: If you see a little pop up at this point that says "Copied" you can skip to step 4.

3) Once highlighted, press and hold the Ctrl button on your keyboard. Now, tap the 'C' character and release both. You've now "copied" the link to your "clipboard".

4) Now, find the "Post Quick Reply" box at the bottom of this thread. Place your cursor inside that box, so that its blinking.

5) Press and hold the Ctrl key again, but this time tap 'P', then release. You should now see something like this:

You've just "pasted" the link from your clipboard to the new post area.

Repeat this step for every picture you wish to add. Once done, click the "Post Quick Reply" and all should be good!

If you go to tools and tips, you can download the Flock web browser which has a tool for uploading. It allows you to drag and drop images to be uploaded, crop them and adjust sizing. Quite nice. Also, when you click on the IMG code it automatically does a copy, so it makes that step easier as well.

I don't use Flock for anything else, so it's homepage is set to my photobucket account, another shortcut. Quite handy all around!

CTRL-V also does a paste.

Thanks for the info especially the resizing of the pictures. I sure could have used it a couple of days ago!:thumbs_u:

Yeah, me too, just noticed it in Ignorant Exploder...

The upload tool rocks though, if you have a lot of pics to do. Just drag and drop, then tell it where you want them all and it does the work.

Plus the cropping is nice.

You can also configure your defaults and if all you use if for is here, turn off the URL and TAG boxes to reduce clutter.

Maybe Im doing it wrong, but I just click the little paper clip on the reply box, and then browse the file and upload it. It seems to work OK.

It's better this way:
If you have a picture/pictures uploaded in your photobucket account and you're signed in, all you need to transfer them here is:
1) Click the box under the picture(s) you want to transfer.
2) Click on "generate HTML and IMG code"
3) Left click the text in the box that says: IMG clickable thumbnails for message boards-recommended.
4) once all the text is blue, right click on it.
5) click on "copy"
6) go to the forum reply box, left click to put the cursor where you want the picture(s) to be, right click and click on paste and your picture(s) will be there. (it won't show the picture, just letters, until you post the reply or go advanced and preview your post, then it will show the picture), and you can see the picture full size by clicking on it, try it:

Click on pic. to make it bigger:
