On a 5.7L I found it gave a nice whistling sound at certain throttle position that made it sound like you have a turbo. :)

Not certain it really helps performance. It's so thin it doesn't change the intake length much at all. Turbine effect might be worth something, but it's hard to say how much.

Ive heard the same. I heard its good on older engines where the air and fuel are mixed well, but in our engines, where the fuel is introduced later, I've heard it doesnt do a lot. I have never seen dyno results though, and I'm only going on what I have heard.

i have a Hamburger throttle body spacer still in the box. i can't see how it can do anything except cause turbulance in the air flow. mine is a non-helix design.

If it whistles, it leaks. Leaks are none-good.

I've got a blue one like that, doesn't whistle, and I really couldn't say if it did anything. But being the copycat I am, I saw others with it and decided to try one.

I would love to see a dyno on this for the 5.7. I have one and it doesn't matter to me if it doesn't increase HP but I would be afraid of it causing a loss in power.

All they are usefull for is holding down papers on your desk other then that they serve no purpose. The FI on modern motors is ver good at atomizing the air and fuel mixture and this paper weight is useless. If the motor was carbed it would be another story but its not so i wouldnt bother and spend your cash elsewhere.

I put one on my 5.7 magnum and it dropped my 1/8 mile time by 2/10's consistently over 5 runs and I paid $89 for it to my door.. So it works for me and I go to the track here in Clarksville Tenn pretty frequently
