Hey all, I know I've seen something in regards to a Magnum club in Calgary around here somewhere... but with so many 300's and Chargers kickin around.. I think it would be nice to set something up for all LXs. This city is huge and there are tons of LXs lurking it's streets. I think a club would be a lot of fun, enjoy what all the boys south of the border are experiencing.
I missed out on the meet and greet in Lethbridge this fall, but from the responses to it, I think a meet and greet group would be a popular idea. Any takers? If I get enough info I can easily get the ball rolling and maybe with some assistance, really get this idea off the ground. Let me know what you all think, and we'll see if this can happen.
I'm thinking sponsored dyno days, meet and greets, car show group entries, T-shirts, stickers, beer tub girls.. oops! outside voice.. but you get the idea! LOL
Looking forward to a huge response to this.. don't let me down!

Hey Blacksunshine!
Sounds great to me. I'm new to this (just got my Magnum 4 days ago) but I'd love to get together with other LXers. Keep me informed!

I store mine (this winter anyway) as well, so thats not a problem. I hope I get a lot of interest in this... I think its not only is a great way to meet people, but from the looks of the U.S groups, it also seems to be a great resource for people to learn more about the car, and create a larger interest for those who may have over-looked these cars while searching for a new vehicle...
Just think... 40 or 50 LXs taking over 17 Ave one sunny Sunday afternoon... or a parking lot downtown on a warm summer Friday night... that would be one hell of a sight!

Being from Edmonton (hey now! ), we'd be interested in hooking up come spring/summer. We'll be the V6 content of the group. :)

I think a meet would be a great idea. I would even be up for a winter meet.
Some other clubs have winter beater meets too.

LOL - I am the official "Magnum Club" originator....not that it means much. I just decided to use it one day with my avatar. I have a buddy that has followed suit, thus there are now 2 people in our "club"!
There was a M&G this past summer down in Lethbridge and nothing has come up lately. I met some pretty cool people, and I would definitely look forward to meet you all for a M&G.
However, I'm not much for the winter thing....though spring time is just around the corner...isn't it?!?

Well for those that want to meet prior to Spring, I'm sure we can make arrangements... but Spring sounds like the real plan. All the toys come back out to play and it would give me some time to work out some of the kinks in getting something like this rolling.
Spread the word, lets get some more interest, even if you have friends who are not a part of this forum (yet!). My email for this venture is ballistyk@hotmail.com. send me a quick bit of info, first name (and last if you feel like it), area of Calgary ( SE, SW, etc.. not too specific), LXforums user name (if it exists.. if you don't have one, WHY NOT? LOL), a number to be reached at, and of course, your LX information. I'll start a running list, and get this thing in going. Thanks to all who have responded so far!

So I'm getting more interest from other cities and even other provinces then I am from my own town... C'mon guys and gals! I have had a few responses, and to those from out of town, Kuldip and all the rest.. Hell yes, I more then welcome you here for a warm weather meet. Here's hoping interest gets a little better so it's not like 3 cars , haha!
Let me know boys and girls... later.
Kirby.

Alright... We have 6 members (including myself) who are getting this thing going! It's a good start, and when the word spreads, I can see this taking off. I'd like to welcome the following to the (*temporarily named, until we can collectively come up with something way better*) Calgary Regional LX Club:
1) dewm1 - 300 Limited
2) 0657 AWD - Magnum R/T AWD
3) Jason - SRT8 Magnum
4) badbw - Magnum R/T AWD
5) silver7sam - Magnum SXT
6) blacksunshine - Charger R/T
Alright all you other Calgary and local area LXers.. keep the info coming and get added... you can send it to ballistyk@hotmail.com (ballistyk@hotmail.com).
