Hey all,

I had my first towing experience with my Magnum RT AWD a few weekends ago.

I towed a steel 4 place snowmobile trailer loaded with ATVs and gear. There were 3 guys and our stuff in the car. I'm not even going to guess the load weight.

Passing trucks with their trailers is great fun. You should see the look on guys' faces when you whip by them on a two lane road. First they see the low profile car and then the big trailer!!

I was running hard and the fuel gauge showed. I averaged 7.5mpg!

When I backed off on the way home, I averaged 11.

I'll get some pics towing my 28' boat this spring.

I don't exactly recall, I remember all guages were good though.

Does yours have the full towing package (load leveling shocks, etc) or just the hitch?

Full towing. The load leveling did a pretty good job. There was some sag in the rear but not much.

Why no pics?!? Did you forget about the camera?

Boy... 7.5 mpg! You were either really putting your foot in it, or that was one heavy load you were towing!

the RT AWD rocks for towing - i towed a 17' hybrid travel trailer ( 3200lbs) all over BC this past summer. the highest i saw the oil temp was 220* .

anyone who knows the arrow lakes - the hill from the Needles ferry to Vernon is a killer for trailer towing and the twisty roads were great.

3500km ( ~2000 miles) of trouble free towing!

No camera. I was going to tow my boat that weekend too, so I intentionally left the camera where I would remember it and still forgot it.

I promise pics when I first tow this puppy:
