Okay, story time....got the call, tires, wheels...both ready to be picked up. Tire place can't mount bigger than a 17" wheel. So I call NTB and they say sure, swing in...no appt necessary.

Cool.

Out the door, get tires, get wheels, get to NTB and a few lookie loos outside were GAWKING as I pulled the meats out of the trunk. Two tire jockies come out to help me ASAP and each are commenting and lauding the magnesium beast...the tires...and the retro cool police steelies.

After enough chatter, they take to the task and then...OH CHIT!!! The freaking wheels the USELESS LANCASTER DODGE DEALERSHIP ordered were 17". Crap, crap, crap.

Back into the trunk, back into the boxes. Dissappointment set in.
Go to the Dodge dealership, give them the boxes o' small wheels and get the right ones ordered, they'll be here Monday.

Disillusioned...I pull out of the Dodge parking lot and say WTF, head back to the tire place. Ask the guy what he'd charge me to mate the Drag radials to the stock wheels, toss the stock tires in the trunk...only to redo the mating and also put the DR's on the Police Steelies on Monday.

These guys are like...DUDE...we'll do it for FREE. Huh? Cool!! I'll have to pay a small fee on Monday, but they wanted to get the report on how well these tires did on the car, etc... A quick 20 minutes later, a nice tip to reward good guys and I'm back to display. Here are some pics:

Thanks guys, was just out practicing some launches for tomorrow.

yeah....2,200 I wasn't breaking tire. They are 265x40x18, same as RobAGD's. $400 out the door, tax and everything.

Really pretty awesome the way the car spools up now....just seems faster and quicker....hard to explain, but it appeared I was moving through the RPMS in 1st and 2nd significantly faster. The change in tire size 1.83" from stock gives a false gearing impression and makes the 2.82 gears closer to 3.01/02. Can't Wait
