Front Plate Simple Relocation MOD!
At a recent M&G I saw a 300C SRT8 with the front plate in a lower position than mine at it looked great! I spoke to the owner and he gave me the idea to do the following:

I reloacted the factory front plate holder as follows:
1- factory postion which blocks some of the front grille.

2- I removed the Lic. plate and then the two factory mounting screws. The plastic plate brakcet just clips of with a little pressure.

3- I then used a hack saw to trim off the rear plastic bracket standoffs (3 in total, you can see 2 in the picture) and then I cut the sides to match the contour of the front bumper (see next picture). (took about 5 minutes to cut) I then use an exacto knife to trim the rough edges off. Once done it looks better than the factory original.

4- I used a tape measure to determine where the two new bolt holes had to be located. This reduces the numbe of holes in your front bumper... I reused the factory original holes in the front bumper from the original mounting position. (Two holes to many, but what can you do...)

5- I then reinstalled the bracket in the new lower position. The front grille is now fully exposed! You can see in the picture the new bolts (1/2" longer), and the braket is overall about 3" lower.

I think this simple mod cleans up the look of the front end a lot!

While I was at it, I added another SRT8 emblem... Additional photos to follow.

Edited and added the following photo, complete with new emblem!

Cheers!

Great mod! Did it in just a few minutes and I like being able to see my whole grill ..and yet since not having a front license plate is illegal in minnesota... still having a plate

ok so you drilled the new holes in the mounting plate for the liscense plate and just reused the factory holes for the bracket after cutting down the sides? correct?
