View Full Version : Rug Doctor on Seats?

I have had some stubborn spill stains on my seats since I bought the car (ok, one of them I think was from one of my passengers), and I have tried lots of different "spot remover" type cleaners. Nothing seems to get it off.. It's kinda like a "water stain".

Someone suggested using the rented Rug Doctor steam cleaner for those stains. Has anyone used this before on their cars? I want to try something else before I spend $100 for a professional cleaner to get it out. I thought I would what the forum would say about it first. :not_worth

I had used one on my old car, but it left faint lines in the upholstery. You could only see them from certain angles, but it was definitely there. It may have been the older fabric, I'm not quite sure. I definitely wouldn't use one on my 300.

I've had great luck with "Folex". It took black paint out of my tan couch. It also took 10 year old stains out of a carpet of a house we bought for a rental.

It's the best stuff I've ever used.

Hope that helps!

I don't know if we can get that stuff in Canada. I checked Canadian Tire and Wal-Mart, and neither carry it.

Even that site you linked to says it's not available :(

I'll do some more digging though!

If you can't find any, I'll buy some and ship it to you if you'd like.... shouldn't cost much!
