I am having the dreaded clunking noise. As reported in another thread I have had it to the dealer 2 times and they still haven't found the clunk. After reading this site over and over, suggestions from some very knowledgeable people here....I called the dealer once again and asked him what tension struts would cost and would they be hard to put in. I'm looking at the dollars now.
He didn't know what they were. I explained how many people are having this problem, yet this garage has never seen a car for this issue. Weird. I can't figure out why Chrysler/Dodge doesn't have it as a TSB? Not enough complaints?
Anyway...he asked me to get an original part number for them. I don't know where to look.
I would imagine that the dealer could look this up on the computer and find it, but he didn't offer. Anyway...I know a lot of you have replaced them, any idea on a part number?
I'd be very grateful if anyone could help. Although I'm a little discouraged to read that some have replaced the tension struts and that's not the problem. They replaced the swaybar bushings and link on mine and it didn't solve it.
Thank you!
