That's the year I got married, got out of the Navy, bought a 69 Cougar Eliminator CJ428, C6, 3.91's for $1550.00, and our daughter Tina was born, in that order.

Couldn't afford a new car, but got a smokin deal on the Eliminator. Worst gas mileage of any car I've ever owned.

Classic stuff there!
I always loved that southern Sheriff, "you in a heap a trouble boy". As I remember they modeled the Louisiana Sheriff in the James Bond movies after him. I'm sure they got a lot of ideas for Buford T. Justice from him too.
