I have seen the light and only use MF towels, but they are expensive! I do use the Costco towels for cleaning but not for drying or polishing. WHere do you get your polishing MF towels? Link me!

O'Reilly auto parts. They are a great investment IMHO. I pick up a 6 pack about once a month. I use them to wipe grime off the inside of the windshield, dust, wax, dry, EVERYTHING!!!!

Todd - I still use the MF towles or just about everything.

Washing, drying, general cleaning. I do go over them after washing looking for stuck bits.

if you want something for nice ness the Meguiars MF towels are hard to beat. I belive Gary also sells some damn nice ones as well.

PS - for polish, are you refering to a show glaze polish or are you refering to something like a super mild cleaner ?

I've picked up pak of 20 @costco(yellow) and they are good $20 for 20. I also picked up pack of 12 at Target (orange) and for some reason I think these are a little thicker. cost per towel was cheaper at Target about 9.99 for 12 (and these are NY prices  don't know if diff elsewhere). Use them however. I also picked up the drying cloth at Target it works great and cheaper than Chamois. Target prod goes under name of Vrroom, I think.

And yes RE-Wash them. Some i've allocated to doing the dirty jobs and some stricty polishing etc. you'll figure it out.

Take a look at www.perfectautofinish.com, Gary has a special on right now on all his products plus an excellent "Do it yourself" segment on his site. He does most of his postings on the 300Cforum site. I have no financial interest in his company but his customer relations are excellent and he loves to help folks like us.

Gotta love those Magnumfreak towels. The Costco ones are a good buy, but for really good quality check out http://adamspolishes.com they are more spendy, but worth it.

Checker has a sale on through october selling Mequires mf towels for $2.99. They seem thicker and softer than the bulk mf towels from Target or Wally world. I use them on the paint and the bulk towels on the interiors.

The thing is a water vaccuum!

After washing and rinsing I use one of the Sam's Club, Lowes, or Home Depot brand small MF towels to get off the gross water. Then I go over the "damp" section with the waffle weave.... presto... NOT DAMP ANYMORE! I keep wringing out the little towel, and the waffle weave makes it over the entire car. The waffle weave is a more expensive piece, but well worth Gary's moderate price. I've not really seen the waffle weave in the big box stores... but then, since getting one from Gary, I haven't needed another.

Those prices are so way to high at the http://www.microfibershop.com/category_s/1.htm . I am trying to contact the biggest manufacture of microfiber in Korea to ask them about purchasing through them.

If you look around in the non-automotive sections of Costco, you can find a 10 pack of 16"x28" waffle weave MF kitchen towels ... I think they were around $12 (?).

I haven't checked out the other sites but I have always bought MF at either Costco (my prime source) or here:

http://www.chemicalguys.com/microfiber_towels_s/18.htm

I bought the big waffle-weave towels there and they soak up water like crazy.

Always a good test for anything you use on your cars finish......

If it will scratch an old CD it's scratching your paint.

Bought 3 more 24 packs at Costco yesterday, $10.01 each including tax.
I sent a pack off to Bubbasdaragon in South Korea.
The Girls took over much of my first pack, used for cleaning all the new mirrored wardobes we just installed in the house, they work great for those also.

Well I recently purchased 6 of these Cobra Deluxe Jr. (http://www.autogeek.net/cobra-deluxe-jr--microfiber-towel.html)

OH MY WORD!!!!! These things are great! Soft, absorbant, and just the right size. Worth every penny! I use them for drying and buffing...have yet to find anything better!

Oh yea...if you want to get me something for my birthday...these will do nicely!
