I thought that was awesome. That's the kind of cr@p they use to pull back in the 60's. Let the pony car war begin!!!

More like a 'haul-by' - that was a good publicity stunt, but I wouldn't be impressed until the two camaro's did side-by-side burnouts out front of the Challegers.
hmmph - trailer queens...

I'm with you on this one. What a move by a GM, simply hilarious. I happen to like the new Camaro and in a few years if I feel the desire to go to a 2 door coupe... It'll be between the Camaro and the Challenger.

I would agree with you both...... nothing better than a little friendly rivalry!

I think it's cool they did that. However, I think the new camaro is possibly one of the ugliest new cars I've ever seen. I'd rather drive a Scion XB.

my next car will be either a camaro SS, a mustang GT-500, or a challenger SRT. i want the best horsepower to weight ratio out there. the winner will be in my garage. let the horsepower wars begin...
Performance is great, but I don't want to have to wake up in the morning, next to it and chew my arm off. Challenger wins!

there are things i don't like about the camaro's body and the challenger's interior, but i can't see a single thing i don't like about the GT-500. i wouldn't call any of them ugly.

HAve to agree... it is ugly and in no way close to the 'old school' version. But also, like was stated above... 'trailer queens', too bad it isnt driveable to the events like the Challenger is :) then maybe, just maybe, we'd see a 'real' old school' showdown between them on the street :magburno:

I'm not surprised. This is typical of General Motors. "MIND GAMES" LOL

Should be some interesting showdowns at the 1/4 mile tracks.

lets remember that the camaro is a concept and I'm sure the production will have changes....either way it is good to see the war begining....GM needs it...business is bad for them...

I am not to happy with GM products! Yummy Challenger!!! If I go back to Japan and I get what I want of my maggie, I am gonna fly back to the mainland and pay cash for mine!!!
I've never been brand loyal, though I have always leaned towards Chevy. Hey, if it's hot, it's HOT, I don't care who makes it. GM has been putting out ugly slug vehicles for too many years lately, I hope they can turn things around.
I agree that the competition is good for the automotive industry, and it's especially good for those of us who want NEW, FAST, HOT LOOKING, gas guzzler vehicles! hehehe :D I do question whether or not GM can master the fuel efficiency and maintain performance as well as DC has with our MDS technology.
I like the new Camaro and the Challenger. There are a few things here and there on both that I don't like...but one thing is for sure, pics and vids don't do either one justice! I saw the new Camaro in person at the GM Nationals, HEARD it...LOVED it:

I can't wait to see the Challenger in peson too!!!! Better yet, to test drive it!!!

I love it. If only my dad had lived to see the 60's muscle wars come back. Ironically, it is happening just as gas is going back under $2/gal!!!!

I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the two automakers were in cahoots on this whole thing just to create this type of media frenzy.
Either way, it's a great story!:thumbs_u:
