This was an easy mod to perform and took no time. I have noticed even more of a whistle, but this is normal as it means its working.

You gotta tell us if this works I have heard nothing but bad things about these. No power gains on MPI engines. have you noticed anything? gas mileage? Power? Thanks

I have noticed even more of a whistle, but this is normal as it means its working. I would think that would mean that you have an air leak. I have a blue one and have no whistle whatsoever..

Thanks for taking the time for detail install...I helped my brother put one of these on his RT last year...we tested the car before and after on a point A to point B run. His car consistantly ran 61 mph before...after installing it would only do 59mph.....we only looked at mph and not time so I can't say whether or not the car may have covered the distance in less time but I doubt it.....also his did not whistle..

Yup, what he said. I have/had three of these so far on my ride and different rides and have yet to get a whistle.

I thought that these things do absolutely jack squat?

For our rides.....................they sure look pretty. But for a MAF sensor'd ride, they do help. Ya, I know. I'll catch flack on that one. But I got proof and I'm sold.
Mine on our speed density set-up didn't do crap. But it's red and it matches my mag so on it stays.

I'm not sure about the Poweraid, but please, please stay away from that Tornado device. You know that piece of stainless that goes in the intake tube. It's supposed to swirl the air coming into the TB. The theory is that swirling air is more easily combusted than still air. Well, the theory is sound (i.e. Chevy Vortec engines where the combustion chamber is shaped to create turbulence). But (a huge but), this device doesn't go in the chamber. All it does is create a blockage of your intake system, defeating the purpose of high flow CAI's. I only post this because I believed their crap and bought one. I brought it back 3 weeks later and got my $79.00 back. Strictly my opinion, but it's snake oil.

The airaid is supposed to whistle. Looking at the install, pretty hard to leak air. I gained about .5 to .75 mpg.

:Na_Na_Na_Na:What the heck are those long black thingy's that look a lot like spark plug cables runing across the top of your intake?

I put one on a couple of weeks ago and there is a very slight whistle to it, they say it's supposed to do this, It does seem like there is some improvement via the ol' butt dyno, not sure about fuel mileage as I never look at it. I will be getting some dyno time when the weather gets better so I may remove this thing and run it with and without to see if it really is helping.

I wanted to throw something out about the tornado. I ran one on my 87 ramcharger with 4v carb and gained both torque and mileage, about 1.5 mpg. However, on my 06 charger r/t it did nothing. I believe that swirling the air-fuel mixture made a difference, as in carburated, but on our dry manifolds with injection it simply does not work. My advice, dont use it and create an obstruction in our c.a.i. If one really wants better mileage, I would suggest trying to achieve that with a different tune.
