Nah, we just do those autobahn speeds on I-75 past the Chrysler Tech Center in Auburn Hills. (Where I once was given a warning--no ticket--for doing 85 mph back when the speed limit was 55. You've gotta love Michigan cops. The real Michigan speed limit is a secret known only to them, and it changes day to day.)

Oh, and welcome!

Ah well thats too bad, you are really missing the big fun of the real Autobahn, like doing a buck thirty and having a 50mph truck pull in front of you :(

Hi,
I live in the northern part of Germany. Inferno-red R/T with SUPERCHIPS programming - essential to survive on the Autobahn.

Best wishes...

I live in Hannover, you`ll probably come along the A7, so you`ll pass Hannover.
Between Hildesheim and Hannover (around 35 km) there is a nice piece of Autobahn where you can go full speed. Not too much traffic there (except during commute hours).

Good luck!

Six years in Germany for me, while in the AF, great memories of the A-bahns and LKVs as you described. Had a european spec 280-Z at the time (unleaded gas, if that gives you any idea of the year) and would love running from Stuttgart to Munich at 145 mph.

I am right now typing this from Germany, back in Munich on business, things have changed. Many autobahns have speed limits now. I have a rented Toyota deisel wagon, got it up to 220 kph today for a short time, felt good. I want my Magnum here!

Welcome! Nice to see that LX's are appreciated in Germany as well.

You're to be commended! I know the cost of petrol there is much more than in the staes -whats the going rate for a liter?

I spent Xmas 2004 in Hamburg with my frauline at the time, Simone... Don't remember much on accout of all the Gluwein ! :beerchug:

Are your LX's speed limited from the factory?

Houston has it's own version of the autobahn as well, they are called beltway-8, and I-10!! Police are pace cars, slow cars are obstacles, bridges and overpasses are speed bumps, what more can you ask for???

Oh yeah it could be legal. lol

HI there,
the price for one liter (93 Octane) currently is 1.50 EUR, that`s 1.87 USD!
So your gallon would be 6.75 USD.
I call it insane!
You don`t get 91 Octane over here, only 90 and that`s not compatible with the Superchips programming - at least I haven`t tried.
However, 90 wouldn`t be much cheaper - the gallon was 6.25 USD.

95ttoplt1 - Hannover is not the most interesting city, but still give me a PM when you go get your SRT! Let`s see what we can do, if you have time.

I am sure I will have time to stop by. Gas prices are outrageous over here but luckily we get gas throught the US gov't and prices are about what every one in the states is paying, INSANE!! But still saves about 5 bucks a gallon. Nice to see all the guys on here in Germnay, I don't fell so alone over here now. If anyone is around Ansbach and wants to hit the Autobahn give me a Jingle, I know how painful the autobahn is in a rental or Clunker, I have cruising my 89 320i Wagon for a year now, 200km at 6000rpm!!

There are several around my area, I am in Grafenwoehr, live closer to Nuernberg. There are at least 2 other Magnums and 3 300s in Graf/Vilseck area. There is a Charger and an SRT8 as well but I hve not met the owners.

My Magnum AWD did 159 MPH one cool Sunday morning after I got my Superchips FlashPaq. Don't forget to buy new tires before trying this if you have HRs and the 128 MPH limit....

Good luck.

No HR's here, SRT-8 better have Z's, I don't think they SRT's are limited but I am not for sure. Is the SRT-8 Charger that you saw Black? There is a Black one at Katterbach where I work, pretty close to Nurenburg though. Maybe we will have to set up a little get together.

I have had my Patinence Here since about May... I have only had the space to get her to 125'ish, to much construction going on. I try to leave "Site cards" on the LX's I see around.

Hey Freddy sorry I missed this post. I don't check in here often.

Did you end up getting your SRT?? I have only busted down the autobahn once, and then found out I have 2 bad wheel bearings. Not the safest thing for high speeds.

I don't think you would have any problems with the sound level, mine was about silent when I bought it.

Also I have a great dealer by me, I know you said your Daughter comes to N-burg often. My dealer let me play with the star scan. I have heard that the Euro PCM tunes are not as agressive as the state side so I would stay away from that.
