View Full Version : Problem with Dash
My Dash Digital Read out for the Odometer, gear display, radio is completely off. Pulled a bunch of fuses and it came back on. Flying down the road again it shut's off. Now can not get it to come back on. If i go to the manual shift mode i can't tell what gear im in. Has anyone had this problem ????? or does anyone know of a solution to my problem ???
I tried Dodge and they want me to leave the car behind for a couple days , YA RIGHT not gonna happen.

Bring it to Dodge
Damn that sucks, My 06 2500 Ram has been in twice in the last 8 months too. Signal light switch wore out. Now i just don't signal, much cheaper on the repairs. :doh:Last thing i want is someone test driving my car for a replaced dash at 1600km's on the odometer.

Tell them you want the dash fixed and there better be no more than a half a kilo difference in the milage from driving it in and out of the shop. There is no need to test drive for the dash lights, didgital read out etc. If they need parts bring it home until the parts come in.
The dealership won't even return my call now. Londonderry Chrysler that is. Hey Chuse2Muse how in the heck am i supposed to know if they put any Km's on the car when i don't even know what it even is since the dash is out. I'll just tell them it had only 30km's on and when it comes back i'll say " WHERE THE HECK DID THE 1600 OTHER km's COME FROM ?????? " . Nothing like causing some trouble. I got a reply on the Charger Forum that there is a Flash for the digital Dash, some TSB thing. Have no clue what the heck he was talking about. Says the dealership does it. I sure hope that is all it is, another reply said that this other guy had his cluster replaced. To bad the new cluster doesn't just start at 0 km's on the odo. Damn computers remember the k's now.

no flash for this concern. no TSB for this concern. does the odometer display when you open the door (key out of ignition)?
No display at all. NOTTA ZIPPO NIL. From what i'm hearing is a defective cluster or a loose wire or harness in the back of the dash. I kinda figured, how would the flash fire the dash back up. I'm probly going to have to get it in to Dodge, just hoping they may be able to just plug the computer into the car and figure it that way ( the quick and easy way ), with my luck nothing is the easy way.

the cluster controls dome lamp operation. if the dome lamps work when you open the door, the CCN (cluster) is receiving a "door ajar" input. if it fails to display mileage when door is open, i would definitely suspect the cluster. after diagnosis, they'll need to order a cluster which comes programmed with mileage. once they receive the cluster, it's just a matter of replacing and initializing it.
Well it's going in tomorrow moring, dealership says there going to check it over while i'm standing there. They figure it's something simple. Sure hope

Good luck to ya, I can relate to how your feeling. My dash kit had to be replaced when it was only 1 month old, I remember the anxiety I felt when I left my baby there with them.
