From today's Detroit News:

ROYAL OAK -- The Dodge Challenger that hits the road in 2008 will be nearly identical to the concept pony car that wowed crowds this year at the Detroit auto show, Chrysler officials said Wednesday.

"You're not going to be able to tell the difference," said Tom Tremont, Chrysler's vice president and top designer. "We're going to keep the Challenger as close as we can to the concept."

W00t!!1 Great news! At least they acknowledge it:

"There's so much passion surrounding this car," said Alan Barrington, the concept Challenger's interior designer. "We knew if we screwed this up, we would lose a lot of fans."

I can't wait to see one up close and personal! DC is going to make a killing on this car.

Yeah, if they offer a v6 in the base model, they will sell like crazy. Or a convertible w/ a v6? Look out, Mustangs.

With how close the Magnum was to its concept to get closer would be awesome.

I'll tell my wife, she's already told me she wants one... Whoo Hooo!I had a shipmate that owned a Road Runner. He took his wipers off and applied Rain-X.

As close to the Concept as Possible... Cool beans! CARBON FIBER THE WHOLE THING just like the concept:)

Oh, and keep the price about the same as our cars:)

67, a V6 with T/A striping is the way! I like my HEMI Mag but for the cost I could live with a V6 in the Challenger and then beef it up with a vortex maybe!
