I need some help here folks!
At 110 miles, I had Eibach Pro-kit lowering springs put on my ’05 Magnum R/T. It dropped the car 2” in the front & 1.7” in the rear. It’s handled and looked great for some time. A few months ago the bouncing on the freeway and over larger bumps got real bad. The stock shocks were dieing.
Now at 27,000+ miles I’ve blown out one of the front stock shocks. Financially, I can not justify getting the KW’s, so I found a full suspension set of springs & shocks take off’s, from an SRT8 (a Charger I've been told) It will arrive tomorrow. I love my really low look, but I need the good handling too!
I’ve been having a hard time getting (and understanding) spring rate and such...
My question that I am having a hard time getting good feedback on is;
Can I or should I consider keeping the lower ride height with Eibach springs and SRT shocks, or just put on the full SRT suspension?
Feedback is appreciated! :thumbs_u:

You can keep the Eibachs with Eibach Shock's and Struts. The SRT will handle as well from what I hear, but you won't be low.I just put the Eibach Dampers in mine along with Hotchkis sways and let me tell you,the Eibach Dampers cure all the ills of the stock dampers with lowering springs. This thing rides great, doesn't bounce and handles like it's on rails.Either way your car will handle well,it's just a questionof how low you want to go:)

The ride height in the rear of the car will go up do to the Nivomat shocks. Not sure how much but due to the load leveling feature it will try to seek its normal ride height.
If you leave the eibach springs and replace the shocks with the srt-8 shocks then you will have more rake from front to rear. Hope that makes sense, been thinking in Hex code all day and reality is really fuzzy right now. LOL!

i'm wondering if you can't sale the SRT8 stuff and buy the Eibach shocks?
Mikespy did and raves about them........
If thats the case then I would be interested in buying your SRT8 stuff.
if not, you'll sale the springs and keep the whole SRT8 stuff......

As long as you have the eibach springs and you liked the height and ride originally, I'd say go with eibach dampers and finish the set. They're pretty reasonable, especially if you only need to do the fronts right now.

Mosie, I've driven hard on the SRT's and they are stellar. Comfy as well. However as was said earlier you'll have to sell them and go with the dampers if you want to stay low.

But my front shocks are still shot, and one of them is leaking. So if I get the eibach dampers, I'll still need a couple of front R/T shocks = $170, or eibach shocks around $260, plus the cost of the dampers.
Then I'm almost at the price of a set of KW v2's.

I know the SRT set up will do me right, and I'm looking forward to that! However, I'm wondering if I'm going to be screwing up the SRT shocks if I mate them to my current Eibach springs to try and stay low...
....if not, you'll sale the springs and keep the whole SRT8 stuff...... Yes MomsR/T, one way or another, I am going to have a set of lowering springs for sale. Either the Eibach springs or the SRT8 springs. Are you interested in either set?

I'm wondering if I'm going to be screwing up the SRT shocks if I mate them to my current Eibach springs to try and stay low... oh duh. I could try to actually answer the question.
Andrew sort of gave you a hint. The rears are going to stay up no matter what you do. I would guess you could be talking about rattling springs under some circumstances. Maybe.
Even if not, and even if you like a rake (mine lasted about 20 miles and I had 'em lower the back. Sucked in corners) I would not turn a tuned system into a hodgepodge. If you want to go low do it right and do the Eibachs.
Dang I STILL haven't drilled out my rear fender wells for the V2's. Mebbe I'll do that after work tonight. About freaking time...

I'd say just buy the Dampers from Eibach. I too couldn't put it off any longer. I Also thought about going the Takeoff SRT8 route, but couldn't justify pretty much voiding my already installed Eibach springs. Plus the rears are Nivomat so it defeats being dropped. I installed last week and am very very impressed with the eibach dampers. Every time i drive it i am more so. I just made a drive out today to see the moms and she lives on a 5 mile stretch of dirt road with plenty of holes and i dread it everytime i come. Today i made the drive with the eibach dampers and it was like i was in a totally different ride man. Freaking awesome. Handles the twisties like a new ride too.

I've had the springs and dampers for about a month now. They are great and remind me of konis. Firm, yet comfortable.

Shock and struts are Dampers Mosie. You get everything you need in the kit.Clearly, I did not understand that until this post...
...I would not turn a tuned system into a hodgepodge. If you want to go low do it right and do the Eibachs....
So at this point, I'm leaning toward the Eibach dampers, (aka: shocks) due to the testimonials on how they perform, and how I know they make the car look. :thumbs_u:
However, I have a full set up arriving tomorrow that came off an SRT Charger with 90 miles on it. I know that will also have fantastic performance that I’ll be happy with, AND not hit as many curbs.
What to do…what to doooo…

I know there are more than a few people that would be happy to fight over the SRT suspension. On the other hand, you'll never have to worry about bottoming out or putting to much weight in,or a steep driveway again if you use it.

Mosie..........take your time and figure out if your want low and controled or higher and controled.
Either way you win.........
Yes sir, I would be interested in EITHER way you are willing NOT to go  ROFL!
I would buy the springs and just get the Eibach shocks.......
OR
I would buy the SRT stuff and just go like that........
Either way you will brake even.........

and YES I did have first dibs.......
I personally would prefer the SRT stuff to put on my wifes car.....she needs the more stock height (retard driving!)
If I buy the Eibach stuff, it would go on my car.

Hmm I’m in the same situation as Mosie, just waiting for the Stuff to arrive. I hope it did not get lost. I am going to go a different rout I think but will have a set of eibach springs for sale. I don’t have a exact date when they will be available though. I hope the SRT stuff arrives soon.

I love the SRT suspension. It gave me just over a 1 inch in the front and about 3/4 inch in the back. The best part is the bilstein shocks up front and the firm novi shocks in the back. The upgrade really pulls the car together. All I need now is the hotchkis sways , biltstein shocks for the back, and its done.
