I want to put 245/45/20 on the front and 275/40/20 on the rear. Anyone have any thoughts on this? My wheels are 20"/9"

Thanks

Should look very cool.

275 is a bit shorter then 245. But I am sure unless you know this you will not be able to tell. It is only the diffrence of about 1 mm.

would this setup work on 20X8.5 rims (245/45/20 on the front and 275/40/20 on the rear) ?

Think the 275's wont work. Too wide for the wheels. Could be done anyway. Only way to know is to check tire manufactures spec sheet for specific 275 tire.

I think you have to have at least a 9" width rim to use the 275's.

I believe Netsrac has 275's on an 8.5" rim.

This is the tire sizes I plan on getting. Looking at Toyo Proxes 4.

What offset are the rims?

The original rim I was looking at was only 8.5 wide and was going to put the 275 on it but in Hankook Ventus brand. Somebody else-not on this forum-put that brand & size on an 8.5 and has never had a problem.

Rim I want not avail until mid August so I changed rim & tire selection.

Good luck.

The Toyo Proxis 4 tires are spec'd to fit 9" rims. 20" x 9" is the widest rim allowed for the 245s and the narrowest rim for the 275s. Also, they are listed as being the same diameter (one revolution per mile difference).
