I was wondering if you can run 22 x 8 wheels with a 40mm offset on an awd magnum without them sticking out?I saw the Foose wheels are 20x8.5 with a 42mm offset and they look good.Any help please!

Those Foose you are referring to are a GM fitment. It has the wrong size center bore for the LX cars.

22" shouldn't be any different than 20" as far as offset goes. 40mm to 45mm is pretty much optimum for AWD in a 8.5" rim as long as the spokes clear the brake calipers. Since you are now talking about 8" rims, they will stick out about 1" further than the stock setup, depending on what tire width you go with. I guessed a 245. To tuck them in as far as possible, you would need a 50mm offset on a 8" wide rim. A 245 width tire would then stick out 15mm, or 0.6" further than the stock 225/60-18.
