When you bolted on was it a direct bolt on or did you need any addition things? ( i.e. SRT knuckle, hubs????) Also do you have before and after shots. I saw a magnum on here with it but can not remeber who it was. PLease help me out. Also any love/hate feelings about this upgrade. Thanks, Heith

Got it. Direct bolt on no changes at all. Best bang for the buck in the mod category. It is a great compromise between the stock and a full on KW suspension. Sorry no pics but it does drop the car about 1 inch.

Mine should be showing up tomorrow. So, maybe tuesday I'll install it. Doesn't look too hard.

thanks for the info, maybe others will throw us a bone on a bit more inside things, like is the rear suspension the same as the Daytona( spring rates, spring height, Shock length??) So far it has been gathered that the Nivomats are the same in the rear. Still waiting to find out if the springs are the same.

yup, what he said
I havent measured mine since the install day. at the time it didnt lower it hardly at all...my SRT upgrade only had 90 mi. on it when I installed it...so it probably has settled since. I also paired the SRT stuff up with a Hotchkis sway at the same time. night and day difference

Monkey, how long did it take you to do it, and how much of a PITA was it? I stuck my head under my car before, and it doesn't look too hard.

It took a very good shop about 2 hrs 45 min. to do it. Most of this time was spent on the sway bars because the rear has to be dropped down for the swap. I think it would have taken the better part of a day for me to do it. I dont have the right tools or set up in my garage so it was worth the $$ to have a pro do it.
I think there is a write up in the KB it you are inclined to tackle it yourself

Does this 'stiffen' up the ride on the highway? I don't wanna rougher ride, but wouldn't mind better cornering. I guess there's a fine line between comfort and performance. Wondering if I've got the best combination of both for a daily driver, or would I be happier with the SRT8 parts??

I'd say on the highway, it's less noticable, but at low speeds you do feel it's a lot firmer ride. Not harsh, it's not quite there, but certainly firm. You can't miss the feel of the road, so if you like a plush ride, you wouldn't like the SRT's. If you like a sporty ride with more road feel, you will like it.
I think it's a good compromise. If you're not sure, go test drive an SRT...

yeah... that's all I need to do is go test drive a SRT... I KNOW I'll come home with one!!! HA! I don't have that much self control. But my wife.... that's another story.
Thanks for the answer, 'bout what I figured.
Well, I relate, I was weak.
It's fun being weak. LOL!

As you know, i went with the bigger SRT brakes. that is really the only reason why you want to change out the front spindle and knuckle as well as the rear knuckle. the geometry is different for the front spindle. that's probably why i did notice my ride lower. Have any of you guys felt the rear go 'kaboink' when you hit a bump on the road. I have. I can't seem to narrow it down. I double checked my suspension to make sure i didn't miss any tightening of bolts and all looks good. any ideas?

The kaboink is most likely the front strut (bottom of course) mount, they may feel tight, but go farther.
BTW, everything just bolts right on. You will need a ball joint puller (not a pickel fork either), 10 bucks at the local parts store.

Dude! where have you been :) I've already installed my suspension and SRT brakes. LOL. I guess you didn't see my other post from the other day. I did it this weekend. Oh, and the kaboink is coming from the rear. not sure if they are my springs or the knuckles i replaced. i'll have to look at the rear suspension again.

Just got done installing my SRT8 take off suspension today and taking the Mag out for a test drive.
WOOHOO!!
Do it. Seriously, this is how these cars should come from the factory.
Not harsh. Firm, sportish ride, very controlled. Feels excellent.

But, what do I kow, I'm just a drummer.
