I just wanted to know who really takes long trips with their Magnum sitting on 22's. Experiences would really help...ie. ride quality. If I stayed local all the time I wouldn't sweat it but I travel to Boston every other week from NY. I am still trying to narrow down my rim selection in the next week or so...still not sure if I should go 20" or 22". I know if I go any other size other than stock I can toss the spare.

I drive 100 miles a day from New York to New Jersey everyday....22x10.5 and 22x9.5....255/35/22 Fr and 285/30/22 Rr. You feel the road a little more than usual but after having the biggest rims possible on every car I've ever owned...I'm already used to the ride....My car is also lowered on Eiabach Pro-kit...No problems here!!

I'm averaging about 100 miles a day on 20's and it's still smooth. I know you said 22's but just in case you were wondering.

I drive about 65 miles a day round trip and it rides slightly harsher than stock. I just got back from Las Vegas (4 hour drive) and no complaints from my wife. I think the biggest difference is not so much the ride but the loss of gas mileage and power due to the extra weight factor.. These wheels are HEAVY! (22"s).. Its very noticable. This is something I think people forget. I know I did.. I love having the bigger wheels. It totally changes the look of the car. I think its the best mod you can do to your car.

Whats your backspacing? Tire widths front and back? It sounds like a nice setup.

I am running 22" TIS 03's, with 265/35/22 Pirelli P Zeros. Just got back from a run from WA state to Reno & back. No problems at all. As mentioned before, 22's are heavy, so they will pull you around a bit in the road ruts. A small price to pay for BIG looks!
Alot of people say that you will have rim damage from potholes. You have just as much sidewall on the aforementioned tire size as a Honda running 15" wheels!

Not a Magnum, but I did an eleven hundred mile (each way) trip last month in my 300C on 22's -- no problems at all. There was maybe 60 - 70 miles of interstate that was a little rough, and you could feel it, but other than that it wasn't uncomfortable at all -- even at 17+ hours a stretch...
