I wondered what you do with a Flat and running on the spare with ESP i know you can press the button and all. But i thought i heard it really doesnt shut down all the way. Do you then just pull Fuse 17? For an SXT is it still fuse 17??

Thanks

Fuse does disable it more but remember fuse 17 also disables ABS so be careful, just ask grinner.

from FSM:
The spare tire and wheel diameters and wheel offsets match those of the road wheels on the vehicle.
The compact (temporary) spare tire is designed for emergency use only. The original tire should be repaired or replaced at the first opportunity, then reinstalled. Do not exceed speeds of 80 km/h (50 mph) when using the compact (temporary) spare tire and wheel assembly. Refer to the Owner's Manual for complete details

no need to disable ESP.

I've never heard anyone report a conflict between a spare and ESP. If the owner's manual doesn't caution, why are you concerned? Do you have a shorter spare then what is provided by Dodge?

No just was wondered about it and since the cars are so new i did not know how many had to deal with flats. Since I figured the spare is not the same size I wondered how the management programs handled one wheel spinning faster.

I have a trip to Montana coming up and had been thinking about what if I blow a tire. Since getting the right size tire could take at least a day there to ship in. Something i did not know until i went shopping for after market tire and wheels. Then found out even the stock tire size's were also a ship in to the town I am going to.
