So here I am working the phones and e-mail trying to get some gear ratios for our LX cars. Now I find out that there are no rag Radials bigger than 26 3/8" for our 18" or even 17" wheels.
We can get 28" or 29.6" BFG Drag Radials for 16" wheels, but no 16" wheels!
I want the same effective FDR on the street as I have @ the track.
The only 16" wheels I could find on Avon Custom Wheel's site for the Charger looked like they belonged on a pimpmobile. (JMO)
Oh he11, I guess I don't need the Drag Radials any way.
Mickey Thompson Has About 6 18" Drag Radial Sized In Development, Were Supposed To Be Out In Junr, But The Factory In Georgia Where They Were Made(cooper Tires) Closed, So They Weill Have T Be Made In House By Mickey, Porobably More Like Nove Or Dec Till They Are Available

BFG has some 18" Drag rRdials, but they are all 40,35 and 30 series. The largest diameter is 26.35"
I would settle for the 275/55 X 16 (28") if I could get wheels.
I'm not in a hurry anyway. There's a lot of work to be done before I need Drag Radials.
Thanks for the heads up. I will cal MT to see what sizes they plan to offer.

Best I could find from Kumho
225/40R18 25.1" tall.
The only one that will fit on a stock RT rim.
Here's the bigger problem. the nitto, bfg drag radails SUCK. BIG TIME USELESS. the only ones that work are the miockey's and the goodeyear, but the goodyear is really a race tire with dot approval, but its really intended for a drag radial racing class. we have a saying in the area, choosign between nitto and bfg drag radials is like choosing between terminal cancer and aids. either way your screwed and not going anywhere

Summit has M&H Radial Drag Race 275/50R17 Drag radials.
By my calculations, these should be 27.83" tall!
Almost a perfect match for my street tires (OEM Daytona)
$179.95 each.

Yep, I talked to M&H for some time. I know that they will work with the SXT 17" X 7" rims. 7" width is minimum though. i might rather use the SE steel rims. IMO, with the wheel cover left off, they might look more appropriate with the Daytona front wheels. Maybe I could sand blast them and paint them flat silver.
I'll bet I could get a pair real cheap.
