Hey everyone! Don't know if you remember me but I had that car accident in November where I hit another car (Hyundai) driven by a 17 year old girl.
Costs $10,000 to fix. Well still waiting for my deductable to be paid which Allstate (her insurance) does not want to pay. Geico told me it is now going into Arbitration. So my question is, should I contact a lawyer or is it too late?
I might not get all my deductable back, ($750), and this girl insisted it was her fault, even there was a police report, why is Allstate doing this. I was the one with the brand new car that got hit and now is scarred with a "car that was in an accident" while her old Hyundai gets totalled. Or am I just screwed?:blam:

If her insurance is paying for the repairs your deductable should never have come into play.

You should contact your insurance company and get the low down of your options, afterall it is their realm. They should be able to help you out with questions.

Some states have some of most messsed up insurance laws. I was sitting stopped in left turn lane, a car comes from the right out of a parking lot and hits me when his rearend slides from gassing too much. I was charged with 20% fault in IL. I guess just being on the raod in the first place is cause for fault.

I'm afraid the answer is simple: $$$
Allstate doesn't want to pay anything more than absoultely necessary. In most cases, your insurance will go to bat for you for the same reason - they don't want to pay out anything either.

Like he said, her insurance should be covering everything. It shouldn't have cost you anything. Heard stories from a few that Allstate is a pain to get $$ from if they pay at all. Good luck.
